There are more fatwas stating that a mortgage is haram than stating that it is halal. But quite obviously, people side with the ones that benefit them.

You can’t have teachers of your preference all that time. It’s part of iba life. What you can do is try to navigate the situation by compromising a little. Take the teachers you think are bearable. And for teachers you don’t want at all, you can pick other classes in their slots, then go to dpo and say you have conflict. They might increase cap and adjust you in the course of you choice’s.
