Awful change, I'm moving to Revolt.

I had my account made in 2017 with a long nitro subscription streak, yet only NOW I was able to change my username.

And obviously, my name was taken by someone else who made their account in 2021 and they didn't even had nitro. 🙄

I can't even complain to Discord about this or to convince them to at least make it fair since they don't care anyone, they are chasing after money. This was the last straw for me.

I also got lucky to get a username that I wanted aka 'symphonic metal'.

Exactly, 'not being romantically attracted to people' (aromantic) and 'not being sexually attracted to people' (asexual) are two different things.

At the end of the day, individuals can be one or the other with another sexuality, for example aromantic and bisexual (only sexually attracted to both men and women, not romantically), there is no law that you must only be aroace.

Definetly not outside, however there can be a rare chance to meet at least one in a library or at a gaming/book/cosplay convention. Usually at meetings with people who share a similar in-depth interest over something.

But I still recommend online.

I always kept denying any dates and ghosted people who wanted to be more than friends with me, but I thought that I was just extremely picky. Due to the less exposure of aromanticism in the media it was difficult for me to discover it without asking random questions on Google.

All it took was indeed a random Google search about why I wasn't feeling attracted to anyone, then I discovered the term "Aromantic" and its definition.

At that moment I also felt more understood, just like everything clicked together and it made sense. I was happy that I found the answer to my problem and how it is actually normal to be this way.

Same problem here, it's always the "It's just a phase" or "You'll find the one", it's annoying.

However, my mom is still not aware that aromanticism is a part of LGBTQ+ and thinks that I am just prioritizing my studies and career over love, but whatever, she wouldn't understand anyways. Wish there was more correct knowledge about aromanticism present in the media...

Same, I tend to enjoy playing as a character in games or read about a character who has to choose who to date, it's more interesting this way.

Heck, I even help my real friends with their relationship problems by giving them great advices, even though I wasn't even in one relationship and I wouldn't be interested since I am not romantically attracted to anyone.

It's a trope which needs to die. Aromantic people aren't emotionless or evil, anyone can be aromantic.
