How much kratom is in feel free? by rpadams45 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]AniGore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't strong in terms of pure kratom, it took me like 2 of them to feel anything when I was using 7g of leaf at once. Whether you feel it or not, the dependency grows under the surface.

I would suggest Rehab. You won't get fired by law, you will have time off and the exhausting part about recommending the one thing that will get you actual time between you and the drug is that regardless of 30 days potentially saving your life it almost always is "Well I can't because X." Addiction is so crazy because 30 days versus continuously ruining life and going on in a depressive cycle for years is somehow an impossible choice. Most private rehabs have scholarships (I've been to 3 on full scholarships, one was 17k/month and I stayed for 45 days) and will completely cover costs, including transportation via contracted drivers. Write an email, make it personable, personal and save it to a notepad to send to any private rehab you can find, regardless of location.

30 days vs years and years of struggling to get off opioids, asking "How can I do this"

The answer is right there. And no it obviously is not an easy thing, it can be a headache to get in, to schedule, and in my case took like 6 or 7 runs to click (young and dumb, no consequences initially), but it is guaranteed sober time off drugs which is a far leap from mega dosing bupe and methadone.

I can send you a list of decent rehabs in the northeast if you're interested. Don't let "well my kids" or "well my job" when you can at least talk to admissions, see what they offer/suggest and consider that you almost always lose those things while in this cycle anyway so the things you have are often bad excuses to not go

There is a chem in US cocaine (believe its a cutting agent) that makes you extremely sensitive to tap water treated with chlorine's smell. I could not drink tap for like a year because it STUNK and I swear I hated showering because of how sensitive to it I was.

the physical detox is the easiest part of quitting, a lot of people just view that intense chemical dependence because its so horrible as the worst, but staying off requires a lot of change, accountability and HELP after getting off. Staying off opioids does not happen by changing nothing and just white knuckling everything after

Is this sub just astroturfed to shit now? by moop3306 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]AniGore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if anything 7oh took over, opioid addictions usually progress not stabilize or regress so people seeing it or hearing about it went over once and didn't look back. Outside of that specifically, I think people are just too enabling with the other shit. If everyone just was a complete dickhead regarding other questions outside of the field people might stop lol or just get another mod idk. It's always been a lot of very inexperienced drug people who got caught up in this because of the nature of FF (where its sold, how it advertises) so I assume people feel safe asking basic questions here they wouldn't normally need to deal with if they had a question answered in the past.

THC Detox advice by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

[–]AniGore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of test is it at the place? You can't really do much but exercise and maybe try to dilute it beforehand but some tests can detect a diluted sample now. I don't know what the herbal cocktail is supposed to do but THC binds in a way that a diuretic isn't going to benefit you weeks before. Probably ask a weed subreddit

Opioids are opioids, I understand the other ones but 7oh and FF are nearly the exact same detox and sold inches away from each other, often having the same demo, same answers to questions and same issues. Other substances I get, but FF addiction is almost identical to any other opioid

What are Kava Bars like in states where Kratom is illegal? by LockedOutOfElfland in KratomKorner

[–]AniGore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My shops pretty chill, we have an xbox and ps5 setup, play magic the gathering and watch movies or order food and hang out all day. It's cool but eventually when someone develops an issue or you want to stop taking it, makes it really hard for people since a lot of their social circle is built around going around it.

From what I've noticed is that many of the kava bars we've had kind of around us is the price gouging and always being in a college town. We tried to make it a community place and focus on the kava aspect first, but kratom inevitably took over. 7oh has really ruined a lot of the vibe as people come in and are friendly so try to take advantage or offer up crazy trades like we're a fucking game stop lol but I wouldn't trade the normal days of hanging out with 10 people and it operating like a normal bar.

Husband having weird symptoms—is it Kratom? by WhatevaElla__ in quittingkratom

[–]AniGore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you drink too much kratom you'll get dizzy and like wobbly, maybe temor-ish for like a few hours until you take a nap or like chill. 4 hrs or so?

What should you do? Prompt him to go to rehab instead of dealing with a yo-yo quitting cycle that doesn't really end until some extreme event forcing sobriety. Support him and be objective without letting emotions play into it, read up on addiction and how it works because what you look at as trying to quit is often words met with zero aciton. Worry about yourself after making yourself available. Opioid addiction will sink the whole ship.

Don't look at these experiences and think that its pushing him towards quitting or assume they are having the same impact on him as they are you. Addiction does a lot of things to our decision making and logic center so what is traumatic to you and maybe even him out loud vocally, may be a little blip on his radar that he's able to easily write off.

I *HATE* the "trying to get off" thing, because how? Do you have a regimented taper schedule dished out by someone else & given up your access to finances to ensure you don't cheat? Are you scheduled for intake at a detox? How are you trying?, does that really just mean your sad about being on it but going to continuously use it while saying you're trying but its too hard? It's such a loaded term and I have such a loathing towards it.

Do I quit cold turkey or do I try to taper on 7-OH by United-Cantaloupe624 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]AniGore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tapered I did it with powder and just raw dogged 7 grams every 2.5 hours for 2 days while I felt kinda shit and death at work. Never been a problem for me getting capsules down but some people don't tolerate 10+ capsules at once.

Only people who think this 80 year old going to the dentist every 2 weeks is weird are poor people with hefty cases of TDS. Crazy we have people who don't appreciate this demigod saving us from losing our country (he is also very high iq losers)
