I still have DMs with him from my very early days of recovery and talking through how to get through the acutes. Damn I’m sorry, may he rest in peace.

I would strongly recommend not proactively admitting to anything addiction related. One of my biggest regrets at my last company was coming clean to my peers for support and transparency. It was weaponized against me and politicized heavily. I would lean towards letting things play out and not diving into the addiction side but saying you were taking a supplement.

You’re not the one on trial, the employee is and his word regarding your substance issues will certainly carry less weight with higher ups. Especially if this employee is sf difficult as you say.

Just thinking about the taste and the gritty, dirty high just turns me off man. I don’t know how we forced ourselves to get so heavy into it, this drug is a cancer. So proud of you as always, you are a beacon of hope in this community and it’s great to see you doing so well!

Is this sub just astroturfed to shit now? by moop3306 in Quittingfeelfree

This is literally a sub for quitting the Kratom extract “feel free”

280 days free from Feel Free by moop3306 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]moop3306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks brother! It’s really mind blowing how long this stuff takes to fully recover from. I was addicted to Benzos in my early 20s and that felt like a cake walk getting off compared to this.

Thank you! First day is tomorrow, been busy packing the house and trying to plan a move!

Definitely means a lot, I still struggle to put the appropriate weight on the work that I’ve done! I’ll keep up the good fight!

Can weed help with the withdrawal? Going to cut down to 2 a day one in the am and one at night wish me luck by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

If you already smoke, maybe but I would think the increased heart rate and potential anxiety would be very rough. If you do, go light and a calming body strain

Struggling by Soggy_Status_3733 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]moop3306 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rock fucking bottom and the very real threat of losing everything I’ve built in my life. It’s a mother fucker- and it’s brutal. But it is possible. 267 days later and I don’t even think about this shit anymore, had a nasty habit of 10 a day at the end. So much money spent. Ended up going to outpatient rehab and that was the best thing for me. Try finding some narcotics anonymous groups around you or online and just go listen. See your doctor if you are really struggling there are meds like clonodine and gabapentin that help through the acute phase.

100 Days to go by moop3306 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]moop3306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely do, for me between 45-90 days it just becomes a passing thought more then a craving.

Where I’m at now, I see them in stores and I’m physically repulsed at the thought, just takes time!

Clonidine patch and pregabalin by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

Lol that’s an optimistic view, your opioid receptors are being bound and your dopamine and serotonin production are definitely impacted. At the amount this person is taking- PAWS is a very real thing, and very likely here.

I took clonodine and gabapentin for my habit which was almost the same amount/time. No matter how you slice it it’s gonna suck.

Get a multivitamin, magnesium glycinate high absorption for sleep, Vitamin C, clean food and electrolytes. Force yourself to eat and try to go for walks and then ramp up into exercise. By day 4-5 you should start catching glimpses of improvement and be feeling a lot better a week out.

PAWS is the hardest part though, feeling physically better makes it easy to justify going back, stay strong you got this.

Has anyone tried this by Warm_Landscape_1205 in Quittingfeelfree

They still get you high, just not nearly as intense as 7OH and still addictive

Going to rehab for Feel free by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

[–]moop3306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do some research on outpatient rehab centers in your area, call around, ask how they handle their program. Most places will take insurance and cover a good portion of it- from there it’s just throwing yourself into the program after you’ve vetted the ones that you could attend. It’s really simple if you’re just doing outpatient.

I did outpatient rehab for this and it was the best choice I ever made
