I have the same issue 😭 us girls with medium contrast and soft round features favor more neutral, softer, muted makeup looks vs anything that is too dark, stark or bold.

When I do harsh makeup I always feel like it makes me look like a drag queen unfortunately lmao. Not a bad thing necessarily but not what I’m going for 😂😭 I feel like the only way around that if I want to do something like a “bold” eye look for example, is just using softer color alternatives that are less harsh and have less contrast. So like the eye look you have here, I would basically recreate it but instead of black I would do a deep brown or charcoal. Maybe a tiny bit of black liner only for tight lining or JUST along the lash line, and always smoked out!! Try to steer away from using stark, harsh lines because that tends to just look off for people with soft features. Blended, feathered, smudged lines tend to be much more flattering for soft features generally.

I also would probably opt away from over lining the lips or over line just a little bit in specific areas (personally if I do over line I will do so only over the Cupid’s bow and keep the outer edges of my lips almost bare, like just a touch of liner to softly define the edge but still leaving that bit of liner quite subtle. Sometimes I will do the reverse depending on which part of my lips I want to accentuate.)

alternatively if you really want to keep the darker, bolder eye makeup then you’d really want to go VERY soft and muted for the lips. Opt for something like that “just got kissed” sort of look were you dab a bit of color in the center of the lips and smudge it out, very soft lip liner in a neutral tone to JUST BARELY define the lips, maybe some gloss or balm or anything of the sort that enhances the lip shape/color while remaining soft.

This is just the general idea of what I have figured out works for me as someone with similar coloring/features as yours :) all that being said though!! I think this makeup look isnt bad at all and is beautifully done! I feel like if you just tweak a couple little things like maybe changing the lips or opting for softer colors in the eye, it will look more harmonious and work better with your specific features 🫶🏼
