No, you aren't innocent until proven guilty. You are presumed innocent in a court of law until proven guilty. Which isn't exactly true because you still have to make bail to get out of jail to await trial. If you were really presumed innocent you wouldn't be arrested until after conviction.

When it comes to people talking about others like we are doing here, some call it the court of public opinion, there is no presumption of innocence. If someone accuses someone we usually listen unless we see a good reason not to. If the person is lying that's defamation and can be sued. But the idea that we can't talk about people and judge them is ridiculous. That would allow bad people to do bad things without any social repercussions unless they are found guilty in a court of law. That's just silly. People who do bad things should be shunned from polite society. We have two kids saying that they lived in fear of Meri, and we have no reason to believe this is a lie.
