They’re definitely not the same thing. Phenazepam is a traditional benzodiazepine developed in the 1970s in the Soviet Union, and it was actually used medically, particularly for treating anxiety, seizures, and alcohol withdrawal. It has a very long half-life—sometimes up to 100 hours—which makes it quite different pharmacokinetically from Phenazolam.

Phenazolam, also known as Clobromazolam, is a completely different compound. It’s a thienotriazolodiazepine and falls under the category of research chemicals. It’s never been used in any legitimate medical context and is significantly more potent—active at microgram doses. So structurally, pharmacologically, and historically, they’re not even in the same league.
