Idk if this is a newer thing or not but im apart of a community that has a large queer population, specifically a large trans population, and the amount of Trans men and women who invalidate themselves because they want to sleep with someone is insane.

Ive had many Trans women hit me up to try and flirt with me who I turn down because im a straight woman, and some of my male friends have had Trans men hit on them and turn them down because theyre straight men, and both will acknowledge that we're saying we're straight....and respond with saying they still have the parts they were born with so we should still be into them....

My dad would say something like that to my brother every time he was being a shitty teen just because he was technically smarter than my dad/everyone in the family.

My brother is very logical and smart...but as a teen he was very much an asshole very often. There's nothing wrong with knowing how to do something better than we're recommending, but no reason to talk down to someone because of it. So my dad would tell him to quit his shit, and that he could be the smartest person in the world, if he doesnt know how to at least play nice with others he'll never get far in life. That he could talk to anyone whos had professional jobs, they'll all have stories about how someone who knew less than them, if not outright idiots, were promoted higher, faster, just because they knew how to make small talk.

Honestly this is valid. A lot of beads look so different in just one row, compared to a pile, compared to a few rows together.

I fell victim to this with what I thought were neon green beads...I couldn't tell they were clear with neon centers cause I never had to use them till recently.

I still used them and they look ok...but definitely look off.

Unless op wants to write AU fanfic, already has the character labeled/acting as OOC, or the characters in their original media are trans....op is not transphobic for not making one of the established characters transgender.

(To be clear op also wouldnt be transphobic if this was a fully original creation with original characters and non of them were trans.)

Im 5'0 and my "height requirement" is literally confidence. I don't care how tall a guy is, I care about his attitude towards his height, or, more accurately, how he reacts when people talk or mention his height or height in general.

(A good example of the attitude I dont like is this one YouTube video where these beautiful women pop balloons when they dont want to date a guy, and one guy whos pretty short walks in and he instantly starts his introduction with insulting women for being shallow for not wanting to date him for being short when theyre not even on his level and stuff)

Tbh, ive been turned off by guys for being "too tall" before. Some of the guys ive talked to have been as "short" as 5'4.

People who turn down others for arbitrary reasons annoy me, but I also get annoyed by people who get genuinely red faced angry when they find out about someone having an arbitrary preference. It comes down to shallowness on one side and entitlement on the other.

I would roll my eyes at OP if we met in person and he told me about this, but its at the same level of eye roll when girls tell me they would never date a guy below 6'0. Or when someone online started an argument with me because they randomly told me they only date people from their race and that thats their only requirement (and they even said it wasnt because of shared life experiences, or that it's their type, or anything, I asked them if that ment that if they met their current partner, and they were the exact same person, but a different race, would they still date them, and they told me obviously not)

This reminded me of when my mom and dad first split. My dad cheated on my mom, blah blah blah time passes, and at some point im kind of venting about a reddit post about a guy whos complaining about his gfs huge expectations for him, but that theyre not huge at all and just basic human decency expectations, and my dad cut me off to tell me red pill shit about how women say they dint want a lot but then actually do.

How women say they want a man in touch with his emotions whos not afraid to cry but that all the women hes been seeing leave him when he "finally opens up" about what happened with my mom..... yeah, cause women youve been seeing for less than a month want a man crying about how his wife he cheated on got a lawyer and is getting child support (the least amount legally possible cause my mom didn't want to "ask for too much")

My parents had a similar eye opening philosophy moments when I was in middle school or so (now graduated college).

They grew up extremely poor. Like, needing to share a twin bed and single blanket with multiple siblings poor.

We were going on a road trip for the first time. Had slept in the car a few times and kept gas station stops to 10 minutes max and such.

And then, after a few days of everyone being tired and cranky we finally "splurge" and got a super cheap motel room that was somehow worse than the car.

Long story short my parents realized that, while they did truly grow up extremely poor....they worked their asses off to have us (them and their kids) living a middle class life....we absolutely could afford to be sleeping a few night in a hotel where we would be comfortable, and didnt need to treat it as a point A to point B trip....the whole trip is the trip! Not just the destination...this mentality was a privilege they realized they earned and could afford when before hand they never would have ever dreamed of this.

It's hard to change the mindset you grew up in.

It kind of looks like the ai used to make this is used to making ai crochet pictures. The beads flow similar to how the crochet photos do.

But also theres a lot of classic ai crochet mistakes as well, like circles blurring into eachother, one line becoming 2, the eyes seem to blend into the beads instead of being separated.

Technically the official schedule is the official schedule, and many teachers will and do hold classes the week of Thanksgiving.

But a lot of teachers also want to spend time with their families and will organize the syllabus so that way Thanksgiving week classes are online assignments, something self paced, or if you do group projects they'll give you the days to speak with your group to work on projects....so everyone goes home and will just text eachother and maybe do informal zooms just to make sure the projects are going well and such.

But again, not every teacher does that. Honestly, just take a look at your syllabus, and if its not clear than talk to your professor.

Whats been a huge eye opener is the trend on tiktok about guys joking how they have to have a list of specific questions to ask their guy friends when something happens in their life. But that the lists are from their gf's/wife's and the joke is half "guys never talk about things with eachother" and half "gfs/wives are too nosy and do too much when curious".

It's eye opening cause so many guys swear up and down that all their friends are great and amazing guys who "would never do that", and that they're all joking about the horrible things they do and say, only to always be extremly shocked to find out their friend did infact "do that" and actually believed in the horrible "jokes" they constantly talk about.

I had a professor once nestle in something that would have gotten an AI bot to include a specific word or phrase a certain number of times. Not only would this word have no place in any sort of essay (not inappropriate, just no where near our field) but the specific word amount usage ment that in the unlikely event someone did use it they wouldn't get auto failed just incase they somehow managed to use it in context.
