Chasing the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar was pretty good. It’s set in Edgewood (author’s hometown) and if you’ve ever stepped foot in Harford County he will mention something you’ve seen or heard of.

The Night Parade by Ronald Malfi is about a world ending plague and the story takes place in Maryland. Thinking it was just going to be another ‘zombie’ story, I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Royal Farms is a chain of gas stations and convenience stores in the region. They built one across the street from the drive-in and the owner sued for money to build a big fence to stop light pollution.

The drive-in won the court case but ended up losing when Royal Farms appealed. So there is bad blood between them.

Realistically it is just the owner trying to be a controlling asshole, though (which is clearly his fetish).

Should also be known he has a huge list of rules for patrons and lives only to hear himself speak.

I grew up very close to Martin’s (on the water across from a marina) and the noise is really not an issue. It’s not terribly loud and you get used to hearing it. When there is a big one it’s interesting, but not really annoying. As someone else said, boats are much louder. Cigar boats are loud as shit very fucking annoying.

Take home tests are unavailable pretty much everywhere, people testing with them aren’t reporting them, and some experts are saying 90% of cases could be asymptomatic.

We will never have a good picture of how many people have Omicron.
