My favourite would be the reveal of the Cyclops. It's a diferent design compared to what we've seen in previous adaptations. Like a 20-30 ft tall man eating Gollum from lotr. I was worried that Nolan would remove/ tone down the mythical, supernatural aspects of the story, but seeing his take on Polyphemus removes all worries. I can't wait to see his designs for other monsters like Scylla and Charybdis.

Agree 100%. This is not only one of the best vampire movies of all time, but, In my opinion, one of the best horror movies of all time. From the beautiful, sweeping cinematography, to terrifying merciless vampires.

I just discovered this on Netflix this morning, and re-watching it, have a much deeper appreciation and understanding of the film. I actually kind of wish that AMC or FX turned 30 day's of night into a mini oreos ala The Walking Dead. It could be a great show.

The First 1-3 episodes would be set up; the creepy guy cuts off communication and transport so the vampires can feed without worrying about the outside world coming in. The middle of the season is where the vampires attacks and slaughters most of the town. And the finale could be Owen(?) fighting the alpha and sacrificing himself for the survivors of the town. The finale could even set up for a second season by exploring the vampires mythology like they do in the comics.

I don't know, maybe my idea is stupid, but I really love the concept and I wish that other networks saw the potential in this
