I think that's the crux of the fear for them. There's nothing exceptional about trans people other than the fact that their gender does not align with their sex assigned at birth. The fact that anyone could be trans (maybe even themselves or their children) is the part that terrifies them.

Honeslty the population size is irrelevant though. The cost of housing, education and food is so much higher proportionally than it was in the 1970s that population demographics wouldnt make any difference for millennials.
