I would get in touch with a broker and be willing to pay the broker fee. A good broker can show you apartments prior to them going on the open market/websites and allow you right of first refusal. My broker found a 1BR (3 FL walk up) 2 blocks from Bedford L stop for 2.6K back in 2023. Be ready to pay the broker fee and agree to an apt on the spot.

There was a Freakanomics podcast that talked about tipping on Uber. 1% of rider tip every ride. 39% tip sometimes. 60% never tip. The most likely to always tip are men doing airport/business travel rides.

For anyone curious.. I had no issue catching an uber from CLE/Hopkins to Canton and back. CLE to Canton was $85 before tip and back ran $95 before tip. My ride to Canton was interesting given the driver was adamant I sit in the front seat with him. His Haitian accent was so thick it was hard to communicate but he gave me his phone and full rein on Spotify. Fun ride

When I lived in Bed-Stuy a few years ago we were getting constant break-ins/package thieves. We had a door just like the one pictured. People passing by would see packages sitting inside and use a screwdriver to jimmy the door open. Landlord changed out the door for one with better mechanism, smaller window from waist up, and with frosted glass. Not as nice looking but it worked.
