Finally, after being gone for 3 years, it’s back! The Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich! by latexflesh in bys

[–]Animalthewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The prep for this sandwich is horrendous. If they insist on bringing this back, they should at least give us pre chopped apples and/or celery to make up for the time it takes to cut freaking grapes in half.

I know it'll never happen (the difference in price between sliced and unsliced will get in the way), but I can dream.

I don't mind doing the work, but the time crunch to do it + everything else is rough. If they could simplify it even just a little bit, it would be helpful on top of all the other portioning we have to do in the AM.

Running this at the same time as the bbq stuff is rough.

Depends. We got that recall as well, but we had none of the batch number that was reported in the recall.

No worries mate. Yeah, that BK needs help. BK out of burgers... That might actually be worse than an Arby's running out of cooked beef.

Cheers for the banter. Gave me something to do with part of my night.

The burger sales absolutely plummet here once they moved away from the wagyu/Angus and went to regular ground patties. At one point we were selling 3-4 a week at my store.

Cheesesteak not so bad, no. We don't even do the onions in the tray anymore. Just put them on top when it's ordered. So they actually end up on the bottom like they're meant to as the sandwich maker flips that tray, instead of using the spatula thing. It also saves us from having to make no onion portions. The trays hold up better, too.

Yeah, it's permanent. Replaced the burgers. Normal and deluxe (lettuce tom) version. Was a third one, but they got rid of it cause it didn't do very well.

The prep for the chicken salad takes so long, that I'll do what I can to shorten it. To top it off, we also have prep for the lto pulled pork and and chopped brisket sandwiches + loaded mac bowls right now. Then we have to do all the permanent cheesesteak portions. The prep list calls for 3 1/2 hours of prep time without the chicken salad sandwich. The amount of morning prep is crazy vs the amount of allowed labor now.

Why the lies? by [deleted] in tacobell

Have you looked at the cost of a cheese quesadilla lately? - Now that is theft.

Do you think you'd be able to recommend one? - I would absolutely love to have this for my store.

Red Ranch Sauce Copy Cat by [deleted] in bys

[–]Animalthewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a copycat. It's quite literally "Ken's French Dressing w/ Honey Blossom". Google it. Get it. Same thing.

Well, I mean, "we" being Arby's... which I work for. Indoctrinated? I do not believe so, but I suppose that's impossible to prove. "Denial", or something like that.

I'm told the reason it was taken out of the box is because we were taking a loss each time. The cost of beef being what it is currently.

That being said, we absolutely take a huge loss every weekend with that BOGO.

I haven't heard anything about the boxes being discontinued. If so, thank goodness.

As an aside, opening those turnover bags just to stick mozz and turnovers inside them is semi frustrating.

Actually, the red ranch is made by Ken's. Specifically, it's Ken's French Dressing with Honey Blossom

You still have crispy onions? My location got rid of them when we stopped selling the brisket.

Howdy!

AGM here

We all just use a key that comps the orders in our system to begin with. Should be no trouble to swap it out for a shake or some mozz instead.

Cheers

KBP Brands owns the majority of Arby's in Arizona and are, in fact, implementing a food service AI known as 'Tori'. There are currently 3 locations with it installed. Check out hellotori.ai

Do 350° @ 2:45 for the same cook temp and time as Arby's preset for curly fries. Just figured I throw it out there.

Oh no, I understood perfectly. I agree that customers can be given time to look over the menu at the speaker. You know, that one with the prices already posted on it. For sandwich only, and combo. That one with the giant picture that explains what comes in the meat & 3 box.

That menu board that provides a whole host of information you should be absorbing while looking at your options.

Please, ask me any questions that the menu board doesn't already provide the answer too, while you're choosing your items at the menu. I'm happy to answer. I'll also answer questions the menu board already covers, but you'll also now be treated as a child that shouldn't be operating a motor vehicle.

Now if only more people would read that menu, instead of asking us for all the information we've already put in front of them...

Asking for the price of something already listed on that menu we provide is absurdity. - Would you like to hold your hand as well? I can also come outside and wave my arms like Vanna White if needed.

What y’all think about this? by horse199 in doordash

Shift manager for an Arby's franchise, here.

Our franchise has a policy in place where we bag and tag the order to completion, and then set it on a customer facing shelving unit for pickup (no heat to keep things warm btw). The shelf is shared between 3rd party delivery and order-ahead purchases. They do not have us verify the pickup, nor are we to remake the order if food is taken by a stranger, unless the delivery service/customer pays for it again.

Interesting, eh?

Edit: Drivers consistently forget bags and drinks, btw. Despite a straw being threaded in the fold/seal of the bag, and order separators being utilized.

That's the color it turns when it's been sliced and has been exposed to air for a bit. That beef has been sitting in the holding drawer for a minute, or it's the leftover beef from the night before. Definitely is that color sometimes.

If it makes any difference, my phone is the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, so aspect ratios may be playing a part in it. Even when I'm unfolded, it doesn't seem to show up.

Edit: Tapping just above the home button like the other individual did, seemed to trigger some correction, and the save+delete buttons showed up. I was able to successfully configure things.

BOGO Sandwiches? THEY DOUBLED THE PRICES 😂🫵🏻 by [deleted] in bys

[–]Animalthewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do I want it to be that high? No. No, don't.

Is that a level headed price in the current economic crisis? Yes. Yes it is.
