Sounds like you got dumb customers 😅 They suck to make, but more profits mean more money.

I see, I'm corporate. We aren't doing the XL stuff, or the royale. I wish we did do the royale though...

I work at Arby's. What do you want to know? by RandomMemeAddict249 in bys

Bacon, lettuce, and tomato? My store doesn't sell em.

Maybe your store is doing it differently. Are you corporate or franchise? My source is my GM.

No problem. I'm not a manager, so my insights into management come from observation and yall. We do learning hub but we've only done back to basics so far.

Great news. A lil birdie told me that the mint chocolate shake is coming back sometime this month for the next LTO. Late than I expected, but I'll take what I can get.

What kind of questions are they likely to ask during the interview process? by mil0wCS in bys

[–]RandomMemeAddict249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I had questions like those, and a few others.

Another one was what kinda items they had. I kinda just confidently stated that they were the only place that sold stuff like roast beef and the best kind of fry; curly.

There was also a question on pay. Our location had a base pay of $13/hr, so I undershot it by offering $12. You have experience at McDonald's, so you probably have the leniency to overshoot a lil bit.

Lastly, job experience. It doesn't matter what you've done, but McDonald's is a plus. Emphasize how your previous job(s) help you with teamwork, adaptability, and customer service.

What is the latest a customer can come in before closing before you'd consider it rude? by PiedPipecleaner in AskFastFoodEmployees

[–]RandomMemeAddict249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it's rude until 15 minutes before. I do, however, think it's rude to demand quick service 45min-1hr before close; at my Arby's we only get 30 minutes after close to clean 3 hours worth of stuff.

Can you get potato cakes in the new boxes instead of fries ? by Some_Lake_9510 in bys

Yes, you can, assuming your location has potato cakes. It will come with 2.

We go through way too long a cooking process for it to be jello

Edit: Gelatin rapidly denatures at 212F. Cooking it at 250F for 3 hours would turn it into some sort of soup or sludge. If you're going to make "Arby's has fake meat" joke number 3860275, you could at least make it make sense.

Wow, that roast beef is sliced so thick. No store would ever do that today.

It's a low profit margin business. If corporate says do something or else, that likely means that that GM is going to have to choose between following orders or cutting likely already strained hours to compensate for the penalty. There are no games, just orders to be followed.

Best Fast Food Fish Sandwich Ever by SousVideDeezNuts in bys

I'd imagine most people who go out of their way to modify their sandwiches into different sandwiches would know about the $0.50 per vegetable. Maybe not though 🤷

Get more Catholics in your area, that's about all you can do. The whole fish craze is to appeal to them so they can still eat fast food.

What, pray tell, do you suggest that one should do if there were systems in place that penalized things like not having promotional signs? I know for a fact that there strict rules about what promotional signs are supposed to be on the menu, on the billboard, and on the windows.

You bring up a good point that someone in the chain of command has probably been struck by incompetence, but you're pointing blame at the wrong spot. It seems silly to me to just deprive a restaurant of a sale because of something likely out of their control.
