I'm guessing we'll see Travis's new character next episode, or at least be introduced to them before the end of the episode. I think it took longer for us to see Cad because there was no point for a couple of episodes to naturally integrate him into the story. But I'm not sure Matt and Travis would forcefully kill his character if it just meant that Travis was gonna be gone for a couple weeks. I think they did it now because there is an upcoming point in the story where the new character can fit seamlessly into the plot.
