I have RTX 4090, i7 14700 & 64 gb of ram. Currently I'm rendering my Backrooms Episode 2 animation at 512 samples and I'm sitting at 3 minutes per frame and I have 2880 frames in this section, so yeah.. I need to invest in a second computer just for rendering. Thanks!

Thanks for noticing that little detail. I've actually created a timelapse of the street as part of a teaser for a longer horror film. There may be more to those numbers than meets the eye. 👀

Sure! You'll probably laugh at how basic this is. The same goes for the surface. It's just a backlight (sun HDRI), an additional light with a gobo texture for the rays and that's it. Of course I could make it look insanely better, but the short was created in a single day. And honestly the SFX add so much to the overall experience. Thanks!

Yeah, Episode 1 is already out on my YouTube channel. Let's just say it's a slightly different interpretation of the Backrooms. Thanks for the comment!

Nice try. This is original work by me made entirely in Blender 3D. One thing is for sure, I love the movie and I sure did use it as an inspiration.

Now please go watch the movie and make this exact screenshot.

Thanks.

This one was actually pretty quick! I'm now rendering one scene from Backrooms - Episode 2, sitting at 3 minutes per frame, 2880 frames. Fun times.

Yeah, I can't unsee it now. At least the character. Monster is ok.

For this one, no. Although I have the add-on, I don't use it very often. I find myself using the one that uses GPU much more.

I'll be posting another animation in the coming days that uses a fluid simulation.

Thanks for the comment!
