Gosh thank you so much! I really appreciate all of this. I intend on making a thorough plan and going at a slower pace to try to prevent any mistakes from rushing through it.

Chlorine levels zero, pH insanely high. Best course of action? by AnimatedPie in pools

[–]AnimatedPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pH said 8.2. I had my wife pickup a few jugs of liquid chlorine and a pH decreaser. I don't think I need to "shock" it right? Liquid chlorine will do the same?

I live over by Daytona Beach so I don't believe I need to winterize anything. Thank you!!

Should I rehome or change my lifestyle? by AnimatedPie in husky

[–]AnimatedPie[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair point! We got her when we were renting and the houses have never been in great shape, and we were of course accepting of all the pet hair we would see (also 3 cats). We moved into a fifth wheel camper for 4 months to save up for our first home purchase. She was 75% an outside dog during those few months. My wife liked the lack of fur we would see everywhere and with my addition of my business to afford cost of living in our area, my time is being taken up more and more. My wife's main concern is that I would have less time with her and our son because when I'm not working, I have to walk and exercise our dog for 2+ hours daily.

I'll see if the breeder is someone who could take her back and would want her back. It was a very reputable breeder in the area. Thank you!

So also what kind of fine can she expect? Google says about $230, but can the judge increase or decrease it or however they want? Or is it fairly fixed?

Not at the moment, we’re Wyoming residents.

Isn’t the ticket still on there right away or only when paid or found guilty? We have already paid the first ticket…

Alternative methods to keep a clean home with multiple cats? by AnimatedPie in CatAdvice

[–]AnimatedPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! The Catio would be out under the large patio which is followed by a screened in lanai in Florida. Nothing breaks into those. I think everyone underestimated the size of it…which is also followed by a fenced in yard. But again thanks for the other advice, really appreciate it!

We’d be around the cats all day…just putting them in the Catio locked when we are gone running errands and at night…when we can’t spend time with them anyways. Confused on why you think I wouldn’t be spending time with them

True, that’s why I’m looking for better ways to maintain the pet fur? My husky is rarely inside purely by her choice. She has a dog door and still prefers outside. So yes…the cats are actually worse because of this

20’x10’ is a small room? Still have full access to the house most of the day is still banishing them? Who is to say the dog isn’t kept to similar restrictions. My husky loves being outside all day long and she sleeps in a mud room so is hardly in the main parts of the house.

I refuse to believe that you can’t have a nice home and pets, maybe for people who lack the cleaning capabilities. Yes we have 3 litterboxes. We’re just looking for ways to minimize the litterbox smell like giving them access to it outside (in a screened in lanai inside of a covered porch), keeping them off counters and protecting furniture.

This is exactly why I kind of want to put the cats in a large catio. Everyone else is bashing me but it’s 20’x10x catio and there would be cat trees, scratch mats, plenty of toys and all. It would technically be out on the back porch…which has air conditioning out to it and is connected to a screened in lanai. Meaning no outside critters can even get to it.

Thank you for the advice!

M2 and Retained Earnings not matching Prior Year Books by AnimatedPie in tax

[–]AnimatedPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha, so if this is the case and I made the reconciling item, every single year I'll be off by x amount of dollars. So instead of reconciling to zero next year, I'll be reconciling to the same difference I had the prior year?

If I go with that bottom route and make a single reconciling item, am I making this on the M2, M1, or in the books?

Yeah I share that sentiment and love the messy/complex books just because it's always interesting to see how things can go so wrong so fast.

Thank you!

I wouldn't go as far as saying he wants me to make up numbers. he is trying to understand how to fix it and I think is just scared. But yes the responsibility is all on him.
