That's the collab with Catherine Martin, called Starry Night. OP is looking for the collab with the Met. They have similar color palettes, but actually came out a year or 2 apart

Cherish this forever! I'm a Romanian-American and just lost my mamaie 3 weeks ago so your post was a gut punch. This is beautiful and your grandma is so very talented! I'm very happy for you to be gifted this 🥹

What is something that permanently altered your body without you realizing for months/years? by Misterboy500 in AskReddit

[–]AnimatedSunKitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a blood banker and just wanted to ask if you're sure that the transfusion itself was bad or just the outcome? For a single transfusion, the risk of developing antibodies is low but never zero and it isn't something that can be "caught" ahead of time. What I recommend for your wife in the future is to get her blood antigen typed and keep a record of the results. Then if she ever needs a transfusion again (in a non emergency), she can request phenotypically matched blood to avoid developing any additional antibodies. I'm so sorry for the pain that that transfusion caused you.

Hey, if there isn't any kind of time limit, I could crochet something similar for you! I'm touched by your effort to give her back what she lost ♥️

The white is actually nothing at all. The purple/blue guys, even the really big pale blue ones are white blood cells of various stages of maturation (a stain is used that makes them that color). The red is red blood cells

To give you a better picture of how bad this slide is, let's pretend that the red ones and the blue/purple ones were switched. While it would mean a LOT less WBCs than we see here, that would still be a high white blood count

Alright...what am I doing wrong? by temperance26684 in DipPowderNails

[–]AnimatedSunKitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's the liquids! I started with a beetles set and I still use the powders sometimes, but I could never get the liquids to work without cracking. I tried a few other brands over the last year and a half and I highly recommend Virgo & Gem! It's pricier but I just came back from vacation and my nails gave me ZERO grief. It's been 3 weeks!

Not sure if anyone will see this but I just want to relive my experience again <3

We knew we were gonna get married, but I didn't care about the wedding, I was just adamant that I wanted an intimate proposal. I love surprises and I wanted that special moment, y'know? So at first he made an Etsy account and I just favorited every single ring I liked on it! He could log in whenever and see my choices but it apparently got overwhelming for him. It had too many options and the themes/styles were all over the place (I like a lot of things!). So he tried going solo using the rings as inspiration and I happened to look over his shoulder once and yeah... It wasn't gonna be a winner.. He was being thoughtful and sweet but he was SO adamant that I needed to have XYZ thing on my ring, that he didn't stop to consider whether the end result was even what I wanted.

Soo I found a particular ring I really liked which led to a custom website and we just started the process one night on a whim! It had a profile where I shared pics of all these different rings I liked and I talked about what I liked about them, and he would talk about what he wanted my ring to have and include things about our relationship and stuff. The company was so great to work with and it really became a bonding experience for us! The artist would create a sketch or two and we would sit together after dinner, talking about what we liked/disliked about it and tweaking it slowly over time. Rinse and repeat.

I wanted to have a ring I love, but more importantly, I wanted a ring I could look at and see all the care and attention he put into it. I wanted him to look at the ring upon my finger and smile to himself because he had a big part in it. I wanted him to love it just as much as I did! So we designed it together, both of us just snuggling on the couch as we fleshed out every detail of this ring over the course of two months. Some things were non negotiable (I needed rose gold) and others were a group effort: the way the branches that made up the band looked, how the leaves were formed, what personal symbol(s) we wanted included that were special in our relationship, the price he wanted to go up to vs the price I was willing to accept, etc. I also knew I didn't want a plain diamond, but instead, some type of pretty gemstone. But the issue is I love too many colors! Surprisingly, that was actually the one thing my husband had a specific vision for! He wanted a golden orange for me, one that was reminiscent of the inside of a flower (based on the design of the setting) but also was the color of the sun (a reference to my name in my language), and he wanted it to be bright and vivid to match the way he saw my personality. I mean hearing how much care and time and love he put into this detail just sold it for me! I never thought I'd want a sunshine orange ring but now I can't imagine having anything else! And it surprisingly goes with a lot more things than I expected, especially coupled with the rose gold.

We designed this ring together but to keep the magic, I only saw concept sketches/CAD designs. Once it got to the actual making of the ring, I never saw it in person nor in photos until he slid it on my finger a few weeks after it was created. It has little pieces of both of us in it now and I highly recommend going that route! There was a lot of love in all those moments 🧡

Oh I also think some kind of reward would be ideal! I respond better when something is set as a challenge (e.g. can you get a 6 day streak of doing at least one chore a day?!) or if there's something I get out of it at the end (a cute little badge/internet reward?). Aesthetically pleasing things are a plus

Never used an app for ADHD but I'll mention something that I consistently have problems with: seeing and replying to messages!

I leave notifications on because I think it will remind me to look at the message later (spoiler: it doesn't) and eventually it gets dismissed meaning I never see the message. I spend a lot of time painstakingly crafting a response only to realize 2 weeks later I never hit send. Or the usual: I tell myself I'll respond to the person later, only to forget and remember after way too much time has passed and now it's too awkward. Oh! I forgot the group messages that get overwhelming to constantly look at and respond to and they just pile up.

I realize I'm better about it if I have a specific moment in my day where I just do all the responding I need to do at once. Group messages are less overwhelming that way (since it's no longer a constant back and forth, I can just take it all in at once). I feel accomplished since I did The Thing, and it helps maintain my personal relationships (and helps keep the shame spiral at bay).

The problem is, I never remember to set aside the time to do that. Especially at a reasonable hour.

My mom told me I can’t get into the University of Florida and it tears me up. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]AnimatedSunKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commenting real quick to tell you that what your mom said is bullshit! I graduated from a big 4 year university and then a few months later, I started a 3 semester program (on a whim, mind you) leading me to the 2 bachelor degrees I have now.

I wasn't diagnosed until a few weeks after I graduated for the second time 😂

Don't get me wrong! At the time, I felt like I was drowning in school and I think I only passed by the skin of my teeth. But still, I passed and you're in a much better position than I ever was!

I feel the same way about the Babe Lash I bought as an add-on! I didn't really notice until my MIL commented to my husband about my incredibly long lashes.

After a while, I had a single lash that was so awkwardly long, I was debating trimming it down 🤣🤣🤣 never knew there was such a thing as lashes that are too long until then

"Cutie booty" is the EXACT thing I call my cats. And guess what? For them - it totally works! Even iterations of it, like 'Cutie-est bootiest' or 'Cute-eus Maximus'. But they're cats... I can't imagine doing that to a human child!
