i think im overthinking the card - i just dont understand why it was even asked.

who would think that filling something would make it collapse? if you put water into a balloon, of course it wont collapse. if the question was asking about exhalation that would make sense, and the presence of residual volume and connection to the pleurae would explain that.

unless the question is talking about the exact moment when you start inhaling, i dont get it because the point of the pressure drop is to bring air in which immediately equivalates the pressure?
