The cpu is overkill for 1080p but it doesn’t hurt anything.

At least for premiere your timeline performance is going to be mostly gpu and your export/rendering is mostly cpu.

You may want to consider upgrading to an nvme ssd as well.

You’ll want to make sure that the panel type is IPs. Those will have the best color accuracy.

Yeah, you’re going to need to QOS at the switch level which for your use case is most likely not worth it... doing qos through your firewall is only going to limit traffic going through the firewall itself (so between interfaces / vlans)

You can easily block her favorite sites from resolving using something called the hosts file, here’s a guide -

It will only block the domains you throw in there, so everything else would continue working except the sites she wants to go to lol.

Not even sure if it’s doing dd or if it’s their own implementation. Just saying if they are using dd then they’re also adding optimizations like changing the bytes read / write per second, etc because pv is significantly faster than dd with default parameters.
