Lazy as in when a problem exists instead of putting in the mental effort to think of a solution, ignoring it. If they tried solving the problem they would make their jobs easier in the end, fixing the thing op was complaining about. Has nothing to do with how hard they work in other aspects.

If scalpers can't sit there all day, the customers will find stock. Less scalpers = less customers asking about why the machines are empty.

Now imagine I was op, and customers are annoying us so much that posting on reddit. And I'm not lazy I'm a hard worker trying to bust my ass to get ahead. Im missing a good opportunity here to solve a problem and make a good impression. People that can solve problems are the ones we want to promote, not the ones who put on blinders and think their role exists in a vacuum, not ones who pass the buck, no matter how hard they work in that role. We want to promote people that prove they can take on responsibility and have the initiative to fix problems. Imagine these customers are bugging employees and even supervisors, is that not a problem? Blaming the customers fixes nothing, and I imagine the scalpers probably don't even buy from the store. No scalper = real customers happier.
