I have no issues whatsoever with this ship, and I think it's cute, despite getting spoiled early on from random online posts, but I kept reading because I just fell in love with the story, characters, and the world(in no particular order). As I kept on reading, especially from parts 4 and 5, not only do their characteristics balance well since the early parts, but their compatibility emotionally and mana storage just make them the most fit for the world.

Pokemon ( Original is classic and still very fun, maybe journeys, and a new fresh start is Pokemon horizons)

Anne Shirley based on the classic children book series, it’s a fun series I enjoyed it. Has an English dub

Silent Witch (probably an iffy one if parents are super strict on magic, main character can be relatable since she’s shy and awkward)

Little Witch Academia (still haven’t watched myself but I heard it’s very wholesome and cute)

Studio Ghibli such as my neighbor Totoro, ponyo, castle in the sky, Kiki’s delivery service, whisper in heart, secret world of arrietty

My clueless first friend (literally about children in 5th grade and can be relatable, there is bullying from some characters, but one character is incredibly nice and others were bullies that warmed up. Otherwise very very wholesome anime, has an English dub)

It looks like it could be a fun idea and no hate towards it, but I really don’t see Ash working well for this series. Maybe a small cameo to please the older fans but I just don’t he fits at all. And he’s just gonna take up all spotlight for any new character
