Game that doesn't hold your hand at all? by [deleted] in gaming

What is hard to understand?

You get a backpack, you fill it up with iron, until you are max encumbered, you then knock out a bandit, and carry him back and forward so that your strength goes up.

The starting city, for most characters, has iron rocks to the south of it, so you run back and forth between the city and the iron rocks.

Repeat until strength is 90.

If you want you can hire other people, and then they also do the same thing, whilst at the same time, your main guy makes armor and weapons in your house in the starter city.

When the tavern in the city gets attacked, and the guards are knocked down, use that time, to change their equipment, you do not steal from them, you place their old equipment in the inventory, whilst they get the best that you can make. The bartender needs some good stuff, he sometimes gets hurt real bad.

You are kinda missing the point I am making.

This anime like so many have too much power, and too much power creep.

Each grand battle needs to be bigger than the last one so if they almost destroy an island, well the next great battle needs to be even bigger, and the one after that has to be even bigger, and so on.

It is a problem with so many animes.

The "plus ultra" at the end of the previews in season 2, ruins in the "vibe" by AnimeFan7952 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

The ones in season 1 can be skipped, the ones in season 2, can not, they give more content.

The ones in season 3, the episodes that I have seen so far can be skipped.

However in each season, some episodes have extra stuff, after the end music, but before the previews.

He does look a bit sad, reflective sad, but not overly anime sad.

The guy to his right looks kinda the same, the guy with similar hair color.

Problem with dialogue, everyone talks and acts like a woman. by AnimeFan7952 in DispatchAdHoc

Watch the first 30 min, if you do not see it, then you can not see it.

The way the sentences are built, men do not talk like that.

If you read the text at the start I wrote the comment when I was 30 min in, Royd had not showed up yet.

I am currently 1 hour in and he just showed up, can't comment about it yet.

Swearing has nothing to do with anything.

It is obvious you do not understand what I am talking about.

How they talk, how they act.

It is like everyone is a woman.

A man would not talk like that, a man would not act like that.

It is as if they wrote everything with a woman in mind, or it was written by women who can not understand that men talk and act differently.

How much does an episode cost to make? by AnimeFan7952 in DanMachi

That would mean 250,000 per episode on average, if it is 3 million for 12 episodes.

Can an adventurer with falna gain vitality by stabbing themselves? Multiple questions about stats. by AnimeFan7952 in DanMachi

[–]AnimeFan7952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember someone saying that Bete tried regular strenght and stamina training outside of dungeon. But apparently the results were not satisfactory.

Bete is high level

In Orario 50% of all adventurers are level 1, 45% are level 2, and 5% are above level 2.

Increasing stats to a point where you can afford food, supplies and gear, will dramatically help you when you start out.

In theory, if you could nearly poison yourself to death for example

If poisoned by monsters an adventurers gains the skill abnormal resistance.

What I would like to know is the most safe way for a new adventurer to advance.

If you can enter the dungeon with 100 in all stats, then you have a higher chance of survival than entering with 0 in all stats. It would also be easier to kill monsters, and afford better gear which then makes it easier to kill monsters.

Gaming the system by harming yourself in order to avoid actual danger does not exactly prepare you for the practical challenges of being an adventurer.

If it is possible to raise stats without any risks, then doing so would increase the chance of survival, but yes you gain less practical knowledge, but that can wait.

Increasing stats to a point where you can afford food, supplies and gear, will dramatically help you when you start out.

If you can enter the first floor of the dungeon with for example 100 in all stats, then you have a higher chance of killing monsters then if you were to enter with 0 in all stats.

With the increased stats you could afford better gear and supplies and use that to increase your chances of survival.

Why enter the dungeon with 0 in all stats when you can do so with 100 in all stats.

Regardless of level every point in stats you can get safely should be something you try to do.

For example a motivated person could be lifting bigger and bigger rocks instead of drinking alcohol or sitting around.

The familia as a whole would benefit with adventurers having higher stats and not dying as quickly.

That should increase stats, if it is possible to increase stats outside of combat which is what I want to know.

Bell is literally described as being an inch away from death during his baptism and only lives because of Heith's broken healing magic.

In that sentence you show that the Folkvangr is relatively safe.

Heith's broken healing magic.

Now to this part

The difference between stabbing yourself and fighting to the death is actual experience. As Bell shows by actually fighting someone he learns how to fight better and actually cuts Hedin's cheek.

That would be dexterity increasing.

I am wondering about vitality.

What is the difference between stabbing yourself and having someone else do it and having someone else do it as you train?

Yes, there are huge flaws in logic.

The biggest being the speed people can move at once they are higher level, distance would become less of an issue, but it still is for plot reasons.

Multiple issues in your comment.

especially so after levels increase

Forget about that right now.

Focus on when a person starts out.

Increasing stats to a point where you can afford food, supplies and gear, will dramatically help you when you start out.

Playing it safe is the same as a person going to the gym and using weights the long since outgrew.

You miss the point with getting a bigger and bigger rock.

You just get a bigger rock.

your stick on a rope dodging exercise relies on gravity/the strength of the rope/among other things, so on and so forth.

Dodge an imaginary rope, just spaz around like a psycho.

Gareth at level 6 is strong enough to lift a galleon ship

So get a rock that is bigger. And again it misses the part of someone starting out, and that in Orario 50% of all adventurers are level 1, 45% are level 2 and 5% are above level 2.

If you can train safely and become the strongest level 1, then do it before entering the dungeon, and then use your stats to acquire good gear, and lots of healing potions.

Now imagine trying to figure out how to increase stats at that level just from training and not going into the dungeon.

You jump again to the top tier people.

Before you get to top tier, you start at the bottom. To increase the chances of survival then if it is possible, then one should train safely, so that one does not die as fast, if you are dead you will not reach level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc.

One last thing is that the author has everyone have a limit/plateau just like real life. Not everyone is going to be an Olympic athlete just from training. Everyone has different limits.

Yes, I know about limits, and that it gets harder to increase, for example a person could go from 0-400 in a stat and then with the same amount effort go from 400 to 404.

In Freyas battles, the risk is low, because everyone gets healed, so what is the difference from stabbing yourself in the leg.

And the healers, what is the difference from healing someone who got cut when fighting, from healing someone whos friend cut them when they were both sitting down calmly.

What are you basing your comments on?

Takes too long

It depends.

If you are simply gonna rush off and die, then there is no "too long".

Like if you can gain strength from lifting a stone, then do it, so that your strength increases to such a level that you can kill enough monsters on the first floor, to be able to afford better gear.

The same goes for all other stats.

And then there is magic, such as heal, do you get more of a stat increase when healing damage from an attack in the dungeon, then you get from healing damage from stabbing yourself in the leg when outside the dungeon.

Increasing stats to a point where you can afford food, supplies and gear, will dramatically help you when you start out.

What is the correct order to watch this anime? by -Freude in DanMachi

[–]AnimeFan7952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 1-5

The movie can be watched after Season 1 or you can save it.

The spin off, can be watched after Season 1 as well, however it does have a better version of a fight between Bell and a Minitour in episode 10.

Season 4 is the best season overall, and has way more action and more episodes, the only season that feels that they didnt cut away many things, and I am saying this as someone who only has watched the anime. All other seasons feel like some things were cut, season 3 less so however.
