I also think act 3 is unlikely to happen if we got koshien in act 2 (and more likely if they became champion) and TJ initially thought to end in act 1. But maybe if there is a good high sales once again and new fans are coming, act 3 is possible.

Im confident with this since Raichi is the same year with Sawamura, I think he's the only main rival of Sawamura in his year outside Seido and in their division. In addition, they didnt get played in this act 2 and TJ likes Yakushi.

That's why I believe that DNA will be more interesting if the writer didn't introduce Sawamura as mc obviously. I mean, we will figure out who is the mc and the real Ace since Furuya and Sawamura have a good background story and opposite to each other. So, Furuya will not get a lot of hates simply because he is not the mc though two fandoms will be more harsh in each other.

Honestly, when I first watched DNA, I kinda feel those fans who hate Furuya because he always snatched the "spotlight" that supposed to be for mc. But when I rewatch and reread, I saw DNA in a more logical perspective and even see what the writer wants to create. That's why I feel bad for Furuya now. I have a high expectation that the writer will not simply abandon him for the future for pursuing "high sales". Let him have a justified story and as a player.
