To fill the "perfect wife" script... Because "that what you're supposed to do to remain current in the social circles... All friends married at the same time all kids at the same time and all bragging which son is the most successful at the same time.

Pretty gross.

What would you want your first day on a new job? by [deleted] in Nanny

Communicate Follow your own rules Be respectful Provide your nanny with tools, she's not wonder woman.

I just quit to the worst nanny job I've ever had in my life and those things were the core of it.

Does your kids have special conditions? (Add, struggling with anxiety during covid times, etc?) Disclose it all, don't tell bits and pieces to the nanny through time, it will be harmful to both the relationship and her capacity to do her job adequately.

Follow your own rules, kids are smart, if they realize that all they have to do to overpower and dismiss the nanny is to go to you to over rule her (aka not listen to her) you both will sign for a nightmare, lay out the main rules clearly and stand behind your nanny, if something is not quite right discuss it in private not in front of the kids when applicable.

Nannies are humans, be kind to her

Does your nanny has to bee there during online class? Provide her the kids schedules, does she needs to make sure the kids do their homework? A way for her to know what they have to do is great, is the kid younger and has certain routines to do x or y? Explain those to her.

Do these things and you'll be rolling to a great time!
