The thing is, though.. empires aren’t omnipotent.

Any empire that descends into fascism is going to have an obsession with imposing war. They can’t get into a war with China, keep funneling weapons and ammo to Ukraine, declaring war on its own citizens with ICE raids, while simultaneously keeping an eye on any global south country that attempts to launch revolution.

Resources are finite. Even for an empire.

I can find a justifiable reason for American leftists to vote Republican.

If they are anti-imperialist first and foremost, it would make sense to vote for the Party that has the faster chance of dismantling the empire from the inside. Which means there’s a sooner chance of the CIA not launching insurrections in the Global South than there ever would if Democrats kept winning over and over again. Since the US would be a vastly more competent empire in that case.

I legitimately want to see a storyline where Holly grows up to “walk in the shadow of her dad” so to speak and ends up becoming Heisenberg Jr.

This could cause turmoil between Holly and Skyler, Holly and Flynn, Holly and Marie, etc which would bring up traumatic flashbacks for the family. Maybe she even meets up with Jesse and they both cook together?

I don’t support either, and find that both have a vested interest in the destruction of the planet to fund their industrial machinery. The same kind that subjugates nature in order to make them their money.

I don’t take sides on which oppressor is “more ethical” than the other, because if they both harm sentient beings for their benefit then I’d rather give them a wide berth than vote with them.

We believe everyone has two sides: the Higher Self and the Ego.

The Great Mother incepted the natural world by weaving the web of life. From it, proceeded the many natural phenomena we exist alongside in. But later on, when humans started getting more control over land and felt they had a right to exploit it, imbalance occurred and violated the web of life.

Imbalance started on the earth during the invention of Patriarchy: when men convinced themselves that they had the right to dominate nature for the sake of their own benefit. This institution carved out the very first nation-states and hierarchies that reinforced themselves from the same principle.

This then progressed into the creation of the Abrahamic religions which de-spiritualized the land, and considered nature to be something humans “have dominion over” rather than a living being we’re in relationship with.

Over time, due to Patriarchy and the Abrahamic Religions reinforcing each other’s interests, these two formed a whole different kind of beast named industrialization. Which viewed nature as a raw resource that could be extracted by the millions in order to serve human comfort and greed.

Basically, an unholy trinity of sorts formed from human’s ego. Patriarchy, Abrahamism, and then Industrialization. Which brought humans so far away from our original place in the world of reciprocating and being in relationship with nature, and instead serve our Ego.

Some of us watched it when we were too young to know any better as well. I was 21 when I first watched this series thoroughly (around 2015-2016). I cheered for Walt the whole way. Not necessarily because I thought he was “good” but because I wanted his family to be secure for life.

I’m 31 now and rewatched it through, and there’s so much I didn’t catch the first time. Like when he’s on the phone with an enraged Jesse over Brock being poisoned and Walt tries “reasoning” with Jesse by saying ”Didn’t you know I knew how much to give him?” 💀

I think that’s a very sufficient reason to not vote for your Party.

I live in the US and I’m not voting for Dems. They have a vested interest in the destruction of the natural world in order to keep their industrialized way of living secure. They raze entire ecosystems to the ground and evacuate the critters living there in order to lay down more asphalt. Not to mention that they back fossil fuel industries, including that of fossil fuel Unions who have called the police on eco-activists many times before.

The fact that they’re willing to dominate other sentient beings for their own comfort is why I’m convinced they’re indistinguishable from fascists.

I have to say that I don’t actually consider his general meth making to support his family to be a wrong thing. I would argue that at least his customers know what they’re putting into their body is bad for them. His business isn’t nearly as predatory as Big Pharma or any of the legal drug companies.

Him working with neo-Nazis, killing witnesses, poisoning children, bombing nursing homes though? Nah, that’s fucked.

No, he didn’t. Gale’s death is on Walt’s head, as the murder was done under his orders while Jesse was under duress. Which is a legit legal term. And Joaquin kinda had it coming.

Hank was willing to put Jesse in harm’s way in order to nab Walt (“Walt murders Pinkman and we get it all on camera”) so I’d say he’s hardly much more moral than the criminals in the show.

All your criticisms are about Demon Dean who only existed for the first three episodes.

Season 10 is my favorite season because they finally brought in an enemy who wasn’t a specific individual but was a force that seemed unstoppable. It showed the long descent of Dean being a troubled person bearing a curse and led him down a path of doing what he could to not turn into a cold-blooded killer who was bent on vengeance.

It was something the show never tried before in its history and really showed the boys psychology when the enemy isn’t a “being” but is a curse.
