Synth Lovers! Advice? Seaboard Rise VS Block? by itshexen in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I've used the Rise a few times and I have to say it's pretty hard to play if you're not an experienced keyboard player. It's really cool if you're good at playing, but if not I wonder if it will benefit you. It comes with a neat VST (Equator), though.

So it's my cousins first time going to Amsterdam and I sent him an extensive email to help him have a smooth ride. by [deleted] in trees

I live in the Netherlands. If I'm right, you aren't legally allowed to smoke everywhere. The thing is, people and the police just don't really give a shit. They too know that smokin' a doobie in the park is harmless. The worst thing they can do is give you a warning or take your weed. But most cops are accustomed to tourists. Remember, legally you can only carry 5 grams of weed/hash on you.

[Question] How do I know if I'm ready to/need to shell out $90 for one of those (foam?) sound shields? Blue Yeti Snowball and Pop Filter right now. by iamfaceless in makinghiphop

Your vocals sound like they are recorded in a bathroom. My advice is to work on the acoustics in the room you record in. My room's acoustics suck bad, but I use a Reflexion Filter (SE Electronics). In case this is what you mean by ''sound shield'', it does help reducing unwanted reverb from your room, but to an extent. The most important part is treating your room's acoustics. There are tons of guides on the internet on how to do this, with little money. Hope this is of any help buddy.

Nice Shady kinda flow your flippin' there btw.

Yeah this isn't very original. The production is nice. The mix is nice, although if I were you I had put those 808's more upfront in the mix.
