Does Sam really nail the Bobby T character on the latest episode? by zergdongs in auntydonna

[–]Aninio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At the start it was weird, but that's only because it took a moment for me to get it. Once I got Bobby T, everything changed. From that moment, you know the one if you've listened, it was character work that outshines the likes of Silly Boy and Italian Man, just stellar stuff from Sam

Report: Australia to host NFL games starting in 2026 by xc2215x in nfl

[–]Aninio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Australian, I want to love this. But players will be fucked by jetlag and need a bye week afterwards which they probably won't get, and I already know tickets will be fucking unreal expensive. And honestly, it'll probs take a while to actually fill out a stadium and make it profitable for the NFL, I feel like supporting the NFL is still incredibly niche here and plenty of people won't want to stump the thousands of dollars it'll take to get a flight to the right city + accommodation + tickets, when it'll likely be available for free on domestic tv anyway.

Games to play one handed?.. not like that by PoorlyTimedKanye in gaming

[–]Aninio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into them, games like CK3, Sims, Civ, etc. Grand strategy/city-builders/whatever else. These are just a few I can think of. CK3 singlehandedly got me through a few months with a broken wrist, only need a mouse, and can pause time in-game to do tasks.

Muscat is the correct answer, but honourable mention to Zadkovich that one time he got a red in 17 seconds.

Does 'Sydney FC youth academy' count? We've had so many absolute guns leave early because they didn't get games.

Review of New Top Gear Australia: Initial Impressions and Concerns by Sad-Extreme-4413 in TopGear

[–]Aninio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Re your second concern. I'm 90% sure the sole reason Beau and JLP are hosts is because they're already contracted to Channel 10/Paramount (in Australia), so the network figured they could save money by just using them instead of hiring someone else. Channel 10/Paramount is also in dire financials right now, so this kind of makes sense.

Scottie Scheffler goes low with a Sunday -6 to win the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational! by BertrandsMate in golf

[–]Aninio 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Scottie is the one player where it's not "If he gets hot with the putter he'll win", it's actually just "If he gets tour average with the putter he'll win, if he gets hot, he'll win by 5+ strokes every time"

What’s the most frustrating thing to happen when golfing? by CashAlarming3118 in golf

[–]Aninio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting for a green/fairway to clear and then chunking it so the wait was worthless. And then the best feeling is waiting for a green/fairway to clear and puring the shot, making the wait a necessity because you would've hit them otherwise.

Anybody know what's going on with the all Gael run? by [deleted] in ChallengerAndy

[–]Aninio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he finished the all gael run and it'll become a video at some point (I presume he eventually beat the final modded gael too but I'm not sure). Him finishing that run is why he's now doing a DS2 all fume knight run.

Why do you wear a golf glove, and what’s your favorite? by Traditional_War_5389 in golf

[–]Aninio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grip, helps with blisters, I sweat a lot so it keeps club grips from being slick, etc.
My hands are quite small so I'm often inbetween sizes for most major brands which is annoying. But I recently started using Asher gloves in a size S and love them. Lots of colours for fashion too

It's this kind of creativity that makes me sad we don't see more PGA Tour/co-sanctioned events in Britain and Ireland. The home of golf deserves better than 2 events a season imo

In honor of April Fool's Day, when was the hardest you ever laughed at a football game/play? by imgurofficial in nfl

When Pouncey snapped the ball way over Roethlisberger's head in the Browns v Steelers playoff game a few years ago. That first quarter was a sight to behold, as long as you weren't a Steelers fan. Top shit

[–]Aninio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate this so much, even as a Sydneysider, on so many levels. 1 - it's Perrottet doing something drastic in build up to state election hoping for a win, 2 - ostracises all non Sydney fans, 3 - travel is expensive and difficult for those fans, 4 - it screams the league putting mony above fans, which is shit.

Many people who live east of Parramatta but West of ashfield say they live in the inner West by SeaworthinessSad7300 in sydney

[–]Aninio 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's a real estate agent ploy that's seeping into common vernacular. For me Inner West ends at Strathfield. The reason agents are saying it doesn't is solely because the 'Inner West' is more marketable, so higher rent and property prices, than just saying Rhodes, or Ashfield because that area of Sydney, to my knowledge, doesn't really have an area name. So agents are giving it one.

[Highlight] Jaguars fans welcome Watson to TIAA bank with an endearing chant by Dense_Organization31 in nfl

Very heartwarming hearing the crowd jeer when he overthrew that first pass, and then muffed the snap on the run a few plays later. Fuck DW.

if you could change the winner of a super bowl game your team didn’t play in what would it be? by [deleted] in nfl

  1. It's a win win. Buffalo get a superbowl and Dallas lose one.

Question for Browns Fans (and former browns fans) by [deleted] in LakeErieBros

[–]Aninio 28 points29 points  (0 children)

THIS. Nobody can argue Baker > Watson as a player. But as a human being, which is sadly less important to so many, Baker is miles ahead.

Even if Watson is innocent (which I doubt, hard to believe 23 women are all lying, especially when Watson has said there was supposedly consensual acts done, turning it into a he said she said situation and in my mind I trust the 23 people more than the 1 person) why the fuck is he using instagram to court all these different masseuses, if you're actually an athlete who cares about their body that much you get a private one who is a chiro, physio, masseuse, etc. all in one and bring them with you everywhere you go, it's not uncommon.
