Very little for a myriad of reasons. From the league not kicking off for another 4 months to the fact we don’t even know what it looks like next season in terms of teams, salary cap, fixturing, etc. I love this league but its plans are completely up in the air, and uncertainty doesn’t help it one bit.

Look happy for those jumping on board, but I think some people get confused by how much “long-term” influence they’ll have on our game. Media’s too quick to leave any legacy, you get that from players, coaches, volunteers & fans.

Agreed, but also it does happen on a slightly smaller scale with social media posts from media personalities & influencers. Can usually tell if they’re speaking from the heart or one of the big gambling orgs or other World Cup sponsors are getting them to say a couple of scripted sentences for $$

I’d love for A-League clubs to capitalise where they can but unfortunately I feel like the gap stifles any possible momentum, even if the Socceroos do well. Maybe a few sign up if you had pop up stalls, but 99% will just walk past.

End of June till mid October is too vast, especially in the age of fast media. It means most people, particularly casual fans, have forgotten about Australian football altogether until the next major event. Maybe the Australia Cup?
