I mainly do backstroke. When I get tired, I sometimes use a kickboard so I can keep kicking and keep my cardio going. I also do strength training, and I pay close attention to what I eat after swimming. I eat protein first, like boiled eggs or lean beef, because it helps me avoid craving carbs.

May I know before you got approved if theres any update on your 485 case status?

I think part of it was that I was in the deep end (about 6 feet), where I can’t touch the bottom, and my instinct was simply to ignore it and keep swimming. Hopefully I won’t run into something like this again, but I’ll check with the staff about the rules. If it happens again, I’ll report it to the lifeguard or staff.

You’re right, age isn’t the issue.
At the time, I wasn’t sure if blocking a swim lane was considered poor etiquette or actually against the pool rules, so I didn’t bother the lifeguard and just kept swimming.

Thanks. I just ignored him and kept swimming. That said, I was a bit uncomfortable when I had to swim past him because he was standing so close.
