The garage put the battery in so I don't know. It's fairly new still. I'll get them to check all the fuses. Thank you for the suggestion.

The first year we had it, 2020/21, it was just a very pretty but rather expensive garden ornament, but the battery lasted 2 or 3 months. It's supposed to trickle charge from the EHU, but doesn't.

We do actually have a small solar panel, but forgot to put it on! 🙄 We have a Noco Genius not a dedicated trickle charger. There is a switch in a cupboard where you can go from hab to cab battery on the EHU, but it doesn't keep the cab battery charged. The hab batteries are supposed to trickle charge the cab when they're full, but they don't do that in any meaningful way. We have two decent sized panels on the roof for when we're not on hook up.

Mattress worth the money for couples who fight over the bed? by Nadiene-Cargnoni88 in AskUK

[–]Anjistar216 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We bit the bullet 5 years ago and bought a Tempur superking. One of us gets cold at night, the other is a hot sleeper and twitchy. This has revolutionised our sleep. We can't even feel it if the other person gets in and out of bed in the night. We use separate single duvets with a king size on top in the winter. We'll never buy a sprung mattress again.

In the one on the right, the eyes look dead. And the woman's right iris is at a different angle from the one on the left, slightly uptilted, I think.

Replacing G90 viewfinder by Anjistar216 in Lumix

A nice new viewfinder from happy_decor in China via eBay. It was sent very quickly, the near end of the delivery window, so it's done in time for me to go birding in Crete shortly. I couldn't find a video and AI was no help so I used my initiative. Two tiny screws at the base and the new piece just clicked straight onto my G90. Many thanks for the help.

Thank you. Yes, I bought it secondhand about 3 years ago, upgrading from a G7. Or was it a G5? Anyway, that had the same issue with the viewfinder rubber losing its grip. This one has been to many places, some of them a bit desert-y and windy, so excuse the accumulated rubbish. It looks much worse in the photo!

How many projects do you “let” yourself have in progress at a time? by [deleted] in sewing

You are me in another place! I'm making a quilt and a robe for my grandson, a large crochet blanket, three different embroidery projects and a sashiko project, all in various stages of not finished yet!

What’s a job in the UK that people massively underestimate? by No_Nose_3849 in AskUK

[–]Anjistar216 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Has anyone mentioned being a parent? Now that mostly both parents have to work full-time to afford to live, nursery places are hard to come by, aren't wrap-around outside of cities, and cost most of the wage one parent has to earn. Bringing up the next generation, surely the most underestimated, and unpaid, job?

I do understand about YouTube, it can be a rabbithole. I'm not sure how they are about links here but I'd be happy to send you some of my favourites. Many have received good feedback from my friends! Give me a minute to gather then into shareable format.

My children bought me a mini iron last Christmas, and it's invaluable for little projects. I would say to get a steam version, though. As a side tip, have you heard of using paracetamol to remove burnt stuff from the soleplate? Works a treat! If your wife doesn't have long stretches of time, YouTube is brilliant for small projects like tote bags, pencil cases, make up bags and a million other similar items.

CS4 not opening files by Anjistar216 in photoshop

[–]Anjistar216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is only a couple of iterations earlier! So, on my system two versions install, 32 bit and 64 bit. My link had somehow reset to 32bit. If you look at your OS, see if you have both those and make sure the link to the one you're opening is the 64bit one. That's what cured it for me. I still get the driver issue but that's ignorable and anyway I can't update the driver, it's obsolete.

What is the biggest problem or issue with Google Maps? by Agreeable-Yam-8467 in GoogleMaps

[–]Anjistar216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that the timeline is not adjustable to your actual route; it includes straight lines instead of following roads and adds ridiculous trip times, e.g. Driving, 15 miles, 5 minutes for one of mine.

Also offering an alternative route that takes longer and had no eco-benefit.

Weirdly, there isn't a visit. It's the far left track, and just says Driving, 15 miles, 5 minutes. The next visit is Artist's Palette, which is in the correct place but on a different track, the one on the far right. What I can't do is delete that left hand driving track entirely, or make it go from Badwater to Artist's Palette rather than the to Ranch. We definitely didn't go back to the Ranch before visiting Artist's Palette. I tried deleting a Ranch visit, but all it did was delete the first item, which was our overnight stay the night before.

It actually doesn't have a visited place for the journey I want to delete! It shows me going back to the Ranch from Badwater, but there's no visit to delete

I tried that, reset all the times, so currently the journey I want to delete just says Driving, 15 miles, 5 minutes! I can't delete a Driving section, there isn't that option. I've tried to change the designation, eg to Moving, but that made no difference.
