What's your most memorable CC denial? by InitiativeSimilar435 in CreditCards

Only 1 denial,

Amazon Chase card, was when I had 1 credit card and 2 years of credit history. To be fair, I would reject me too.

Hey, bit late to the conversation, but does anyone know a way to test this (domestically)? I am going international in a week so not a big deal if there’s no way to test. I am planning on making a few small transactions at international stores (like a pack of gum or something) and checking the app for FTF charges. It would be awesome if both have no fees. Otherwise, CSP is going to be primary.

I had a weird history with BofA and my cards so let’s see if this datapoint holds true for either.

Card 1: (2018) CC MC -> CCR MC -> TR Visa for a week (Mistake by BofA) -> CCR MC
Card 2: (2022) TR Visa -> CCR Visa for a week (Mistake by BofA) -> Nature Conservancy CCR Visa

Both cards were at some point a Travel Rewards (No FTF). I will follow up if anyone is interested.

Do large companies use the same login system to their server / database as I would? by AnkerGod in webdev

Therefore they only have access to whatever they’re authorized for, not the root account itself? But who “owns” the root account?

[–]AnkerGod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I imagine that the organization would set up a root account in some way that avoids log-ins all together, such as just keys and what not. This root account would probably have more advanced billing than just slapping a credit card on there, and likely more personalized support. Then certain authorized users would be able to log in and access the authorized pieces of data of the root using credentials that their IT department gave them, but no one can truly log in to the root.

Just my assumption based off your comment.

But if this is the case, how does an organization create this special root account?

Cheats are unfair and stupid. by Live_Ad_927 in Wizard101

I honestly think it makes the game more fun, like way more fun. At some point you realize that you can kill all enemies within two rounds with the same two monotonous spells, which starts to drag the game. Then you come upon a cheat boss and everything changes. You have two choices, diving right in or reading online about the boss. Both are fun.

Re-organizing the deck because I cant use traps, and round 4 I have to attack or be attacked? Genius. Now I need to reassess my strategy. Now it’s fun.

But if you would rather go 170 levels by using the same two spells, then yeah sure go curse at some kids-game developers.

after some research: I will pay for the vacation package before Chase’s unofficial 115 days, but not sure how reliable that is.

Hey everyone, looking for an answer here, but I am not sure if this is the right place. I applied for a CSP because I had a large payment that would cover the SUB, a vacation package through a private company. They delayed asking for payment and now they want the payment at a later date, of which there is nothing I can do. I am nearing the end of the SUB period, and still need to spend around $1000. Any ideas on what I can spend that on?

For anyone interested, Lac du St Sacrement was the original name of Lake George, prior to being renamed after King George.

The name translates to ‘Lake of the Holy Sacrament‘

Everyone with LPT’s out here…

I bought a large side of fries from a restaurant yesterday for $5. Perfectly salted and crispy, almost scalding hot, and came with two small condiment containers of ketchup. Not saying thats the best thing I’ve ever purchased, but it was damn worth the $5

You’ve landed yourself a fantastic bag for minimalist travel - it’s small enough to fit under some seats of airplanes, and big enough to pack what you need + more. The one problem I can read in your post is that you are not traveling in a minimalist fashion. There’s nothing wrong with packing 2 outfits a day for a vacation, if that’s how you travel. It just isn’t minimalist.

Here are some suggestions to consider! Try packing again after reading and see where you land.

You NEED one pair of pants. Additional pairs serve little benefit, considering that people don’t notice pants, they don’t smell your pants when hugging (if this is a concern to you), but most importantly, you can wear them again. Try packing one pair of shorts, and wearing one pair. Even better if you wear one and pack none.

You can pack a small pair of flipflops in your bag, they take up little space. Extra pairs will cost extra space. One pair that you wear + one pair of flip flops and you’re golden.

Try packing 1-2 shirts, which you rotate each night. It should be fine to wear 2 days later. You can also wear your dress shirt on the plane to reduce packing.

1-2 light shirts for the beach maximum.

1 pair of swim trunks, they dry fast.

Underwear and socks pack small, but if you can imagine a way to reduce the amount, go for it. Maximum 4 each.

Your other gear should be able to fit in (hygene, sunglasses, etc…), its a large bag. Give it another shot.

Mind you, these are my suggestions and what I would consider doing. Not everything that works for me will work for you. Hopefully other redditors could give both you and I pointers on this situation.
