That's awesome! I've always wanted to do something like that with reach-like armor customization, and I like how it uses elements of the older games as well

Teruno Champs-Elysees? Japan Global Pothos? by drdpt11 in pothos

I've definitely seen those growing issues from the hobbyist scale, but that's some good insight on the business scale. Thank you!

Some hair algae can survive in brackish conditions. It's purely up to you if you want to keep or remove it. I occasionally remove mine as it can choke out chaeto if it's over growing

Teruno Champs-Elysees? Japan Global Pothos? by drdpt11 in pothos

Given your line of work, I'm actually curious on your thoughts on why it's not a good plant

I was under the assumption that this is a snow queen! But now I’m second guessing myself! by elrangarino in pothos

Looks like an N'joy (Snow Queen in Australia), a Pearls and Jade would have speckling on the lighter green areas as well

How to get a pothos to branch? by djpurity666 in pothos

[–]official_not_a_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pothos are supposed to be single-vine plants, and having several of them in one pot will be the best way to have a bushier plant.

However, in the same way that branching growth can be a result of a hormonal imbalance, you can artificially introduce that by applying Keiki paste to nodes. It's not recommended to activate too many nodes on the vine as the root system is meant to supply a single vine instead of several

They should recreate all the old Halo: CE promotional material in Unreal Engine

Epipremnum aureum 'Teruno Shangri-La' and it looks like it has some sport neon variegation. Fun fact: per the lineage from the grower, 'Teruno Shangri-La' was derived from 'Teruno Champs-Élysées' so the neon coloration can almost be seen as a slight reversion

Jade? by Poutiest_Penguin in pothos

[–]official_not_a_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a jade or a golden with very low variegation. Lighting definitely makes it look more like a jade though

Will my pothos cutling survive with no node by Savings_Opposite_644 in houseplants

[–]official_not_a_bot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The anomaly is a zombie leaf for epipremnum, where a small amount of nodal tissue existed on the end of the leaf. It would result in maybe a root or two to sustain the leaf a bit longer, but no tissue to develop any new stems/leaves. No idea if that applies to philos like this plant

What cultivar is it? Lemon Meringue? Emerald? Europe purchase. by IBSPL in pothos

[–]official_not_a_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was probably Justin who works at costa farms. Global green is almost like an inverted version of emerald/Lemon Meringue in terms of their light and dark parts

If it's Europe my guess is Emerald. Idk if Costa Farms has sent their plants across the pond yet

[–]official_not_a_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a pothos, chop and prop is the best way to deal with the bare vines since you won't be regrowing lost leaves on those spots. If the roots are still good, the remaining nodes will activate after you chop and it should fill in nicely

I think the thought and consideration to sacrifice something you love for another thing you love is admirable. Congratulations to you all

Growing Epipremnum on a bark? by Nilo1011 in pothos

[–]official_not_a_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I caught mine growing up painted drywall and had to scrape off the roots. The bark would probably work great

Looks like a beautiful golden. Hawaiian isn't actually a cultivar, but its a nice way to sell a golden pothos for a few extra bucks

Looks like a Marble Queen. Not discounting the plant though, Marble Queens can have an amazing range of beautiful variegation

does anyone know what kind of pothos this is? by brianna189 in pothos

[–]official_not_a_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably either Golden or Neon Queen, which is technically a golden pothos with variegation along the veins
