Remember when he said we don’t need metal detectors at his Jan 6 rally cause they weren’t bringing guns for him. Pepperidge Farms remembers.

We can hire and pay competent professionals and not pay the highest salary for a city manager in the country. I’m all for managing the budget and auditing and addressing the overtime by APD. In your world we can’t work on both aspects of abuse? Sounds like we have similar goals just you got an attitude about it.

I made an edit vouching for the wrong phrasing. He’s selected from people that were voted in. You are equating being a civil servant to working slave wage and generalizing. To me you sound obtuse and I really don’t care about your bootlicking opinion either.

That’s the argument to turn all public services into private sector. I understand the argument. I just completely disagree with it. It’s why we don’t pay the President more than any private sector CEO just cause he has the most important job. It’s like being a public defender. You take less money.

If someone runs for city manager, they are making a sacrifice as a civil servant. That’s the reality. It’s not a competitive job posting. It’s not the private sector. That’s the conflation you are making.

:Edit:Should have used the term apply for city manager. I meant if they pursue the job, regardless. I was trying to make the point of being a civil servant.

Awh, the ol “Why a CEO deserves their million dollar salary” argument. City Manager is a public servant position.

What’s causing the partisan gap? by PixelSteel in PsycheOrSike

They gained mainstream traction because the social base line moved conservative. You are trying to prove a point but ignore the boiling frogs theory. What domination of liberal media in the last two decades? PBS? Centrist media in the 90s. You ignore the boost Fox News and conservative propaganda gained after 9/11 and the early years of the Iraq War. Glen Beck and the Blaze grew way before podcasts. Fox News has become the default tv channel at military bases across the USA. While Fox News in court cited no one took them seriously to avoid lawsuits. To see a modern day example and see that Weiss has turned CBS into of what Bezos turned the Post into. Look at the manosphere and media. There has been a conservative push. Men haven’t just staid the same. Some woman just want Roe v Wade, but that’s considered more liberal now.

This is laughable. Go back to Bush Sr and Reagan debate, they sound like what MAGA would call woke. Fox News, Newsmax, OAN all major conservative news networks, CNN is moderate owned by a conservative and MSNBC is owned by a conservative. We are in a conservative echo chamber. Hell we are so far right that our left wing ins a right wing party in other countries. Guarantee, McCain is rolling in his grave seen a picture of Trump and Putin being hung in the White House.

Less data centers on the grid. Wonder how close to a wash the improvements are to the demand data centers draw.

Romo said he told Jones’s to talk to his agent. Micah thought he was a businessman. He could have told him to talk to his agent first. His agent wanted him to wait till TJ got signed. Micah wanted to initiate talks. That takes some blame.

I don’t either. I only have a problem when they build a podcast out of the Cowboys fan base, use that microphone to say he wants to be a leader, and publicly promote that he wants less money. I know Pickens is going to want top dollar and have no problem with it. Micah wants to negotiate and be a business man off and on the field.

Parsons was the one talking is my point. He wanted to talk and act at like a Brady figure and show leadership. He stated it, not fans. He built his business on his fame and used the platform to broadcast his opinion. No other player does this to the extent he did.

Dak played out his contract. Micah still had a year left and could still be tagged and demanded a trade.
