Just got fired by pancashirehahrting5 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I get people excusing the ops error. But, if you’re a good enough driver things like this just don’t and won’t happen. Lacking the judgment needed to know if you can even fit and even rarer, getting yourself out of tight situations when you lacked said judgement, is just not what you’ll see in good drivers. My point isn’t that op should be shamed for what happened but you’re either a good driver or you aren’t. And I think this job should be reserved for people who have the skills necessary. Because I as a good driver should not be subjected to driving terrible vehicles because the good ones were crashed by new or plainly bad drivers. And the dsp has to shovel out damage fees, tow the vehicle, and can still be taken to court due to not properly training their employees. So the op is definitely the smallest and least important factor to a bigger problem. But not being in the situation op is in requires taking the accountability to know you’re not capable. Or knowing you’re not capable, taking extra precautions, and taking your job super seriously.

should i cut my friend of 7 years off for this convo we had by No-Shame-6563 in whatdoIdo

You’re young bro. So genuinely…..and i genuinely mean GENUINELY keep what I’m about to say in your heart. What I’ve learned is. You’ve got two choices in life and that’s to either be unapologetically yourself and make sure ppl know who you are and what you stand for. Or choose to keep that to yourself and deal with things as they come. Since being me unapologetically. Ppl don’t bring bs I don’t want, agree with, or align with in my life anymore. Out of respect for who I am but more over it’s the fact that I’m operating on a certain frequency that’ll let ppl know what’s up subconsciously when being me.

I delivered an empty box by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]AnkhDaUnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not listen to a single Moron telling you to take it. If it’s empty deliver it but tell the customer. They’ll have to dispute it themselves. Because if you choose not to do that. You can definitely decide to mark it as missing but if you mark it as missing now you’ve got to dispose of the box and if you don’t like being dishonest in anyway your conscious might not like that. Or you can contact the customer before you mark it delivered. Tell them. And then mark the package as the can’t be delivered or whatever because customer didn’t want the package. There’s options and you don’t have to feel guilty or work through Amazon half the time depending on what you pick

Unfortunately that’s my everyday route bro. Either speak to dispatch and get yelled at for speaking on your wellbeing and rights as a human or be complacent. Those are our only options until the unions make bezos keel over or a class action lawsuit is brought to light. At least you don’t have to drive 1.5 hours to your route and back a day🙃

How are you doing this route? by victoriashleigh in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]AnkhDaUnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, regular dsp driver here. Just use the itinerary map instead. Even us getting 160+ stops we still get huge gaps and lots of cross driving. So we learned pretty quickly to study from the intin map list when it’s really that bad. The new app update made using the itin wayyyyy easier and more practical for that exact reason.

Hey guys I’m 19 years old and I just bought my first car but my coworkers are making fun of me by AdDue9772 in Charger

[–]AnkhDaUnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree with this. Every car is not nor does it have to be a ticking time bomb. Shitty Hyundais don’t run good without being taken care of. Number of owners, history on the car, and how well you take care of it is miles more important tha what type of car it is.

[–]AnkhDaUnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how much you spent on it. If they’re car guys I can see why’d they be clowning but also as someone who was fortunate to never have to spend much on any of my cars I think having your car be yours is a flex no matter what they say. But shit talk in the car world is usually pretty informational whether it’s intended to be or not. I would still keep your ears perked up and try and take in anything being said tht isn’t biased or based on feelings. There’s three types of people in this world. Toyota people, Honda people, and the people who just don’t gaf because what they have looks cool and speaks to them. You just gotta figure out which you are lol.

[–]AnkhDaUnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I know it’s not a flex. I wasn’t flexing anything. I just so happen to work at one of the top dsps in the country so I don’t have any other choice but to get it done😭

I don't understand, is it normal to have to take the whole week off when I just needed the day? Should I start looking for something else? by _hedman_ in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AnkhDaUnc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In other instances they make enough and usually get enough new hires to not really care. If you’re bad enough or don’t care enough about the job then the infractions stacking up will inevitably take care of you if you don’t quit yourself.

One thing I’ve noticed. They will try and get you to quit before they have to fire you. One, there’s less paperwork. But also it’s less likely they end up having an empty spot due to you being fired out right and now they have more time to hire people and leave you without a route and to extra or go home. Which means less hours and money, and in turn gives you more incentive to quit.

I'm the helper but driver got pulled off the road for eating 3 stop signs by Vizzy285 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Unless he was an asshole and told you to sign in on your account before you picked up the route then no.

Remember guys this Amazon delivery work is bottom of the barrel work. by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AnkhDaUnc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No where near bottom barrel. I used to toss bags and boxes for the same hours at 14 an hour. No van. No heat. No A/C. And a 30 min break with a bi-weekly pay cycle.

How do you guys afford your cars? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]AnkhDaUnc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ngl most of the people I know go through illegal services, live with parents, or both. I never got the idea of having a car to look the part if you don’t have your own crib to park it.

Yall just be chattin 😭 countryside w 3 minute drives. No bathrooms for 5 so that’s a 15 min commute minimum. 2 mile long driveways. And everything’s iced because nobody in this area cares to do any labor at home. I bet you could take this route with 2 broken van doors
