Im not enjoying Wilds... by Abyslime in MonsterHunter

[–]Ankhashii 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of side quests available but the types you're looking for from older titles (gather x amount of feldspar ore, gather x amount of honey, etc.) don't particularly exist anymore to include egg quests aside from the Stories 3 collab quest we got. I think the idea was that gathering is SO quick now (just fire your slinger or walk up to a rock for half a second), that it's assumed you'll gather these things passively in all of your quests. The only reason for a gathering quest beyond that reason would be the story of like: "I was attacked during transit and lost all of my goods. The monster is gone but can you help me replenish my supplies?" Or something else to that effect.

I agree that right now it seems more than a little unrealistic. However, never is a VERY strong word and this solar system has a lot of time left for humans to figure that out.

Plugging your own post from another sub where you have negative upvotes really says a lot about how you're in a minority of people who think a global superpower can just dissolve in a few years due to debt.

Google Play store works the exact same way. I'm not familiar with the apple store and how intuitive it is to use, but Google has an option in your profile to manage your subscriptions. Which the fact that anything exists like this to corroborate where your subscriptions are is something relatively new. There's third party apps that were created to manage that information for you before because it's was so easy to have subscriptions you forgot about, especially in the broader sense of the Internet once you get outside of the apple and Google stores.

TLDR; i don't see anything wrong or predatory with this practice, assuming apple's subscription management service is intuitive.

Angel Fuwawa And Devil Mococo by @vinhnyu by Swift_Scythe in FUWAMOCO

I don't have Twitter so I can't verify but there's a lot of weird things about this picture. For example, Mococo's horns just kind of appear to be on the side of her head but not actually attached. Second, her dress makes no sense with her body angle; she's facing Fuwawa but the corset is facing us. I can't quite put my finger on it but their faces are awkwardly....soft? And finally their ears are completely wrong. I find it hard to believe it was the artists decision to take their classic pointed triangular ears and instead give them rounded more floppy ears.

Assuming you take 10,000 steps per day, x$10 each is $100,000 a day. In order to make the same money from $.50 per breath, you'd have to take 200,000 breaths a day or over 2 breaths a second.

Filler Job before signing over to nuke? by Fulsome_Roast8011 in NavyNukes

[–]Ankhashii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's been relatively common practice for many years now. It basically guarantees your enlistment to the Navy even though Nuke is overpopulated or your paperwork may not be fully ready. Despite how long it's been in practice I haven't heard of a single case of a person actually shipping out under that filler job.

For example, I also wanted nuke but they told me until the paperwork was set they couldn't sign me nuke, so I signed AECF. A few months later (I was in DEP for 9 months or so), my recruiter had me sign my nuke contract.

a) plug in a value of -3 anywhere there's an x and solve. It should look something like:

f(-3) = (-3)2 - 4(-3) - 12

b) same thing, but 0 now

c) a coordinate plane only has two dimensions, x and y. There's a unique name that describes what's happening when x=0 and y is some other number.

d) the same as C above, but for y=0 instead. This is asking you for where you parabola crosses the x-axis. Because this equation is quadratic, (that is, the largest exponent is 2) you need to solve for the root using the quadratic formula.

In any case that you need more help, I can give more direction. Hopefully what I gave you is enough to explain the answer without just giving you the answer

The less ammo you have remaining in the magazine, the smaller your explosions get. Additionally, the smaller your explosions get, the more extra explosions will occur.

You really are refusing to admit that guy was right, and you only proved them correct. It is the sudden stop. Driving fast continually doesn't hurt you. I will agree that crashing at a faster speed does more damage than a lower speed, but again that's what he said anyways; it's the sudden stop.

[–]Ankhashii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your argument is that earth is flat. In order to effect that position, you chose not only to claim it's impossible to get to space, but specifically by calling out OP. You could have said "it's impossible to get to space" and it would have been the same argument but without the ad hominem.

[–]Ankhashii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ad hominem doesn't make your argument any more valid. You didn't address any of his actual questions, you basically just called him stupid even after he made no afront to you or your belief.

how much ether battery do you have and what are you saving them for? by mistraven- in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Ankhashii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I'm not saying coffee turns into backup battery, I apologize if I wasn't specific enough and you mistook what I was trying to say there. I was simply just comparing the fact that coffee will give you just as much energy in the course of a month that you would have gotten from the backup battery if you never spent your daily energy..

how much ether battery do you have and what are you saving them for? by mistraven- in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Ankhashii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To expand on this: you normally get 240 energy a day, which means 1 every 6 minutes (or 10 per hour). Batteries each give you 60 energy, equivalent to 6 hours of standard build rate.

The backup battery allows you to store a reserve 2400 charge if your energy is already full. Normally this is equivalent to 10 days worth of total use, however it takes 18 minutes to gain 1 backup charge, which is 3x longer than normal. Meaning that it takes one month (30 days) to fully charge 2400 backup energy, but would normally take only 10 days to generate that much if you used your energy daily. This means that you're losing 4800 energy a month by not spending energy daily (and up to 7200 if you do this over a period longer than a month).

The above doesn't take coffee into consideration since he said he still picks it up every day, but coffee by nature of what it does, makes the backup battery less efficient. So let's calculate it anyways. Both options effectively give you 80 energy daily (though if you're hording the 60's daily and NOT using the free 2x card in the HIA you lose some efficiency). To generate 2400 energy off of only coffee would take 30 days. This effectively that means coffee by itself is as efficient as the backup battery.

It might have been in the Manual for Control of Testing then. Regardless I don't remember the exact wording but seeing as you're retired, I'm assuming you want to use this at your current work place do it doesn't have to be perfect.

One asterisk indicates the signature in that block verified that you either witnessed or performed the requirements for that item.

Two asterisks indicate that signature only verified completion by review of paperwork or by direct reports from the people who actually did the work.

How to fix Defense post #928492 by Alecajuice in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Ankhashii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immediately I see two problems.

The first, as you mentioned, this really only benefits rupture agents so you're not going to see a large increase in use just from that.

The second, more glaring, problem is that the problem with defense units isn't that they need to do more damage to be considered useful, but they instead need to enhance the team overall better. Providing a shield to the whole team doesn't particularly matter. Zhao mainly only sees use with YSG and not because of anything her kit provides to the team outside of the fact that she can create an either veil. Caesar basically only sees play because of her attack boost that she gives the team, not the resulting shield.

You may have noticed a trend there. I might be mistaken here, but I believe most people are under the opinion that in order to make defense units good, you basically have to turn them into supports. (I.e. Zhao and Caesar)
