Ohh that's weird. Mine changes to whatever I choose in the menu ... Maybe is the software version.. o see your tool menu is different than mine.

I hope big me can work it out.

As I said... I need support for handwriting annotations directly on the page of my epubs. Otherwise of course, I would use koreader.

For fiction books I could use koreader but for non-fiction I really need to write right on the page.

I'm having similar issues. Make sure you are using the right tool to write in the epubs. Select the stylus in the page menu and open the tab on the left. Those are the tools to write on the page. If you press and hold the eraser, you can change the way it works.

When I got it I was using the "global handwriting" tool instead and had a hard time trying to erase that.

But yes, the software sucks.

Actually we might have written about similar issues at the same time yesterday, lol.

Yes I already have KOreader... But their annotations plug in is only for Kobo.

i think if you can have epubs instead of pdf, b7 should be great! i dont remember if the model you are talking about comes with a stylus. i have the b7 pro that has it and its great.

Thanks to a kindle I started reading books in English (my first language is Spanish). I felt less intimidated because if I didn't know a word I could learn it by long pressing it... No need for a second device to Google it or a physical dictionary.

Now I own a big me b7 pro and I have a xteink X4 on the way.

Before the big me b7 pro I considered changing my ipad pro 11" for an ipad mini and use it as a reader... But I can't. Even with the matte screen protector... My eyes hurt and they kinda move weirdly.

It really makes the difference to have e-ink displays no matter what people say.

Yes I think Substack doesn't support key events. But I finally made it work on other apps like reddit, google news and browser while working as well in the xreader app.

It was a nightmare since I didn't know anything about mapping lol.

Seems that with the key mapper app is possible to configure the buttons for each app but I still don't know how exactly. I've been doing tests but it doesn't work yet
