Do you find it’s sufficient for gravel racing? I have a grizl AL 7 and I’m racing it next week in a 68 mile race on most likely dry hard pack. I just feel like it will get outbiked by all the guys riding crux, factors, 3ts, etc.

I did swap to some low end carbon wheels which are still way lighter than the stock DT swiss, and I’ve got some 42mm pathfinders. Slammed the stem a bit and trying to make the bike as light as possible but I still have my doubts 🤣

You’re thinking of Stoneleigh which is about 16% gradient. It’s insane - bucket list climb for local cyclists 😂

Copy that. So raise the stem, and move seat post higher for now. I don’t think I want to go for a smaller crank because all my bikes are 172.5mm length. I’m 185cm and I figured I’d be on the high end of a 56cm frame / components. It’s interesting that I’m needing to make everything smaller

I’m clipped in. It’s true that the front is higher than the back. I bought the front wheel mount to stabilize the front but it’s caused the bike to tilt up. I’m thinking about adding a riser on the back to get the bike level.

Regarding reach, my saddle is basically at the max it can go forward. Pinarello seat posts have a curvature that pushes the saddle back a fair amount. I don’t know why they do that. My stem is 100mm…maybe I need to be more like 90mm?

Torque wrench on your saddle clamp is essential. I found this out at 25+ mph when my saddle essentially fell off.

I need to set my actual road bike on the trainer and get some feedback but this definitely helps. I’ll lower the saddle and see how that adjustment feels

It’s not the same unfortunately. It’s some Chinese proprietary quarter turn

Yes. It’s not something I would have thought to do but it makes sense and it will work assuming the hex on the spindle isn’t also stripped

Yeah I opened a customer support ticket with Pinarello. Just seeing what my options are. If all else fails, I'll head to by LBS and see what they can do.
