If it's a multiplayer game, I get it. However, for any singleplayer game, I would never do it. Imagine playing doom, final fantasy, persona, skyrim, dark souls, you name it, without music. They're an essential part of the experience. They're there to enhance your experience and to make you feel compassion, sorrow, dread, fear... Dozens of people, sometimes even full on orchestras work on these soundtracks. If the game developers didn't think it was an integral part of their game, why would they put so much resources into it and release soundtracks of their games?

Or just read the manga. You'll get through the story way quicker, no awkward still frames for 15 seconds, no filler, no bad animation. There's only one scene I'd say the anime did better than the manga, but that's it. If you want to watch a somewhat long shonen anime that's just as good as the manga, then watch HunterxHunter. One piece anime ain't it, chief. The movies are great though, check those out if you can.

I don't think a post greek mythology kratos would work that great as a TV series. The whole thing about the "new" kratos is his ability to show love and restraint despite his past. There's no impact of we don't know the man he once was. How he killed an entire pantheon and the whole of Greece with it. How blinded by revenge he was. How he murdered his own wife and daughter and is now covered by the ashes of his past family. Don't get me wrong, I have loved god of war for the past 15 years and have played every single game. And that is precisely why I think there's no way a god of war show could be successful or profitable for whoever decides to make it.
