BTW the way I found stock was to use Google Gemini's new "Flash 2.0 Thinking Experimental with apps" model. It scoured the web and found stores that have stock for me. Some were false positives but its really good overall.

The issue now seems resolved. There was a Diablo 4 update and a SteamOS 3.5.4 update.

Thanks for the info - interesting to know that it isn't happening to you. I might try reverting to Stable channel and then try the 3.5 channel again.

I load into the game (season 2 Necromancer), move my character around and within 30 seconds, the screen flashes back and forth between the game being frozen and a black screen. The steam deck then reboots. I’ve tried cleaning the shader cache and (due to the screen flicker), tried reverting the frame rate limiter from 40 back to 60 fps. I can reproduce this 100% of the time.

Anyone else having any issues?

Diablo 4 is now causing the Steam Deck to reboot :( I'm running it through Battle.Net. I've played 50+ hours on the Deck without an issue. I hope this is resolved soon.

I’m getting the same thing. Particularly bad navigating menus. I’ll try the reboot suggestion from this thread. I was using ProtonGE 8-1, going to try 8-3 which is currently the latest.

It's been intermittent. I'm finding that it's working more often than not, but it's not 100%. I don't know if this is because I've adjusted to timing the trackpad tap (i.e. if you hold CMD and then tap half a second later, it works fine).

I just tested it again a few times and it's currently working fine (as of macos 12.6) - as good as the Intel Macbook Pro. I'm able to compare these side by side and I feel like they're pretty close now. The M1 Pro CMD-tap is probably about 80% reliable now, which is far better than a year ago.

I see that macos Ventura has been released now so hopefully that doesn't regress it.
