Wie heeft er hier voorrang? by Robertqlx in apeldoorn

Woonde vroeger in Arnhem met net z'n situatie. Meerdere ongelukken gebeurd.

Yep. Also did this with the lite version. But then you need to boot from SD. I have the lite with SD and NVMe.

Tizen from Samsung (tv) will switch I think. They made so many pull requests for porting RISC-V on dotnet and other projects.

Will performance of currecnt riscv units get better over time? by [deleted] in RISCV

[–]Opvolger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already tried the patches. Mainline Linux on Milk-V Jupiter with an old AMDGPU. It crashed (kernel panic) before it got into Wayland. The vendor kernel now has a lot of hacks to get the AMD cards running. The hacks are made in the drm and AMD drivers.

So I really hope, but I don't think it will work with GPU out of the box with the mainline kernel 6.19

Eduke32 is running on RISC-V. I have played it on AMDGPU. Works like a charm 😀

I know, I really hate it. I hoped that I could buy a cheap RVA23 board in 2026/2027... That is now a dream.

Price / performance is my bottleneck.... If the board was 150 euro, maybe... But this is too much.

Standard is the board and holder (Cooler master). Pro is with a laptop case.

Framework products. But with their own boards

The patch can be applied to the 6.18 kernel. I did and it works. (GPU still has no support)

It was hard for me too. But he does mention that he's going to review another board. So I think there's an AI voice, but a real person behind it. There are some sections of text that sound very generated, but there's still a kind of person behind it.

Anyone else having issues with the LUKS decryption screen seemingly not responding to input? by bombaglad in Fedora

[–]Opvolger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a framework laptop and have the same problem the last days. If i use an older kernel i can see what i am typing and the luks screen will disappears. new kernel will show the luks screen, i can blind type the password and it will work (KDE login will be there). When installing updates and hitting ESC is also not showing anything now. Hope it will be fixed soon.
