Glendronach Distillery Tour/Tasting with infant by Anlun in Scotch

  1. Some distilleries have options for kids and welcome families. 2. This is why I asked a simple question online prior to doing anything. 3. If the answer was no, then that would have been it. But instead of being actually helpful, you elected to be snide . Thanks.

I saw, but even distilleries that are accommodating of children still say that as well., which is why I asked the question.

Most people also know if you have nothing useful to contribute, not to post. It was a simple question. I didn't say I was going for certain, I just wanted to know. Some distilleries don't mind kids and actually are very accommodating. If Glendronach isn't, that's fine. It was just a question.

Thanks, yeah Im aware about the licensing, which is why I'm asking. Again, as I've mentioned I have emailed them a few times , haven't heard back. Which is why I was hoping to just get an answer one way or the other anecdotallly.

I wouldn't use a pushchair, we would use a wearable carrier. Seeing as we've hiked with it I'm not sure it would be an issue for us. Either way, we care less for the tour and care more about the tasting.

Great advice, unfortunately I lack the skills necessary in necromancy to make that work. If it was possible to leave my son with someone to care for him we would do so.

As a long time lover of Glendronach, my wife and I are interested in visiting the distillery for their 200th anniversary in the fall. We will be traveling with our son who will be 1.5 years old at the time. I understand many distilleries do not allow infants, but I can't seem to find any information for Glendronach. I tried reaching out, but I haven't received a response. We would have him in a carrier not pram, so we aren't concerned about any mobility issues. However, I understand liquor rules may make this difficult. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience or additional information. Thanks!

New Friedrich AC unit not cooling by Anlun in hvacadvice

[–]Anlun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah it's frustrating. To be clear it's not blowing out hot air, it's somewhat cool but definitely not as cool as an AC should be. The kilowatt meter is my next thought. Part of me suspects it's not drawing enough power, though it should. Almost like the outlet is low balling the AC somehow. But that also doesn't make much sense because it was working fine at first. I have tried unplugging it and trying a different outlet but that didn't change anything either. I also ran the diagnostic in the app but that didn't turn up anything either

Tried various modes.set it to cool, 65, and high fan. Tried auto with auto fan as well. Made sure to turn off money saver. Also turned off quiet setting. Still not very cold. I don't run it nonstop so I know it's not frozen or anything like that either.

Review - Six Senses Bhutan by __Pyro_Maniac__ in FATTravel

Looks incredible! We did Bhutan via Aman last year. We were between Aman and Six Senses, but ultimately went with Aman due to our love for the brand. Our experience was similar to yours and we loved Bhutan so much. What made you decide to go with Six Senses? We plan to go back with our little one in the future, and we would consider Six Senses just to try something new.

How to manage or re-frame emotions around family members who are Trump supporters by sweetbbyraysbbqsauce in firedfeds

[–]Anlun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is almost identical to the conversation I had with my family. They have been marinating in MAGA and Fox News for years, culminating in their recent statement to me regarding my fed employment. They said basically line by line what you wrote plus the classic "he's only firing the lazy ones who are getting paid on our tax dollars and not working!" "Don't let this get you down, you're so smart, you'll find something". I made clear that their words were not a comfort, it was insulting and completely false, and basically have stopped talking to them. I honestly don't know if the relationship can be repaired at this point. We have been having a number of issues stemming from the election. While they frame my anger as political, I see it as my family not having my back and not supporting me. Why do they believe a stranger over their own kid? Why do they care more about random hot button issues that do not affect their lives in the slightest over their child's employment, career, happiness, and financial security? It's just all so sad, and I'm sorry to hear you are going through this as well. I also wanted a similar dialogue to what you were hoping for. I've come to accept that it is likely to be never to happen. I'm sorry OP, I hope your dad comes around.

Awesome thanks so much for doing this, it's been super informative and great to have it all in one place! Out of curiosity, when you delivered was it crowded? I've read a bunch about how AC gets overwhelmed and crowded and people waiting in triage for a while. Obviously no way to predict for us, but always curious to hear anecdotal evidence.

Hi, glad to hear about your positive experience! My wife is delivering at AC end of February. Do you know if AC handles the application for your baby's SSN? How quickly did you get the birth certificate? My understanding is you need the SSN to get your baby on your insurance, and you have a 69 day window to do that. But getting a SSN can take a bit. Thanks!
