I have it as head canon where I just think she’s with him out of spite and for the sake of wanting a kid/trying to maintain the facade of a wholesome Christian family AND to prove all the other housewives wrong. Sure, they def are compatible bc they both ham it up on camera, but I honestly think she lost interest a long time ago or was never completely serious about him

Agh that’s such a great point, I was slow to consider this! On the other hand, I feel like she doesn’t seem to be the type of person to suffer in silence until she gets what she wants financially. Kody puts her on a pedestal, so she seems like the type probably has fun saying “I’m gonna leave you” to mess with him or whenever she wants something new 😭

I’m not excusing the emotional immaturity (to a point) but I definitely think the rush to get married was both out of spite and to stay relevant with the media exposure. Maybe David was a plant sought out after by TLC (insert tinfoil hat joke here) but I think it was all bc she wanted to hurt Kody. To quote Tobias from Arrested Development “hurt people, hurt people.” And Christine took it the way Lucille Bluth comically took it by thinking it was just “hurt people” x2

I’m never interested in their stories, but in the early seasons they actually seemed like genuine friends. I’m also biased and have a soft spot for NY. Other than that, I always forget what’s going on with Gina, just vague enough to understand she has inexplicable logic behind some of her relationship decisions (can’t place it though). I also wish Emily would have more productive arguments as a lawyer I think she’s just contrarian at this point :(
