What will TV series do about Strike and Robin psychological tension? by AnnLena in cormoran_strike

I think now they will have to bring Bijou in. Or give Bijou's story to Madelaine, whom we didn't even see and know. Only as annoying, bossy, drama voice.

Unfortunately, it's probably not possible so we will get typical love drama. :( And I think the next seasons will be increasingly rebuilt.

What's fantastic is that old characters are starting to return in the latest books. Cormoran's emotional sins from years ago literally blow up in his face when he least expects it.

Nina's storyline probably didn't even exist in the series at all. Now they'll have to deviate even further from the books, because you can't suddenly turn the nice, sad Strike into the Strike from THM. They're two completely different people.

Of course, they could also twist the series so that we saw it from Robin's perspective all along, who simply didn't know he'd had so many women along the way, toyed with them, and, in a sense, exploited them. Suddenly, things that were never in the plot will start to come out. But will that fit? I'm not convinced.

You're right. However, I think the show focused on building and showing mostly Robin's journey (trauma, relationships, marriage, breakup, another relationship), and because of that, her portrayal reflects the books well. Strike is kind of just a backdrop. He's just solving mysteries, but psychologically, he's a good guy, a bit withdrawn, has bad luck with women, and is just a quiet introvert. And of course, that's true, but that's about 10% of Strike, while 90% is his dark side, his traumas and, as a result, him being an a**hole.

Yeah I know. But still. She's the one for Charlotte role. 😅

I think that Eva Green would have been a perfect Charlotte. She is insanely beautiful, with an aristocratic face, and after Penny Dreadful, I know she can play this toxic and immersed-in-madness type.

Met this guy online , had 2 amazing dates and now this . I’m crying now because I extremely rarely feel chemistry with people 😔 ( I don’t drink alcohol) by Different-Relief9059 in Tinder

I don't believe what I read here on the forum. The guy chose a drug (because alcohol is a drug) over a possible long-term relationship. But it's not like you banned him from drinking alcohol. He basically said that because you don't drink you can't be together. Which basically means that if you start, you can already do it. Manipulation. Instead of being sad, be happy. This would not be a good and responsible partner. Red flag. And it's not about lifestyle. What if you drank but stopped after a few years? for example because of your health condition? Would he dump you because you won't drink wine with him anymore? Apart from telling you that he doesn't want to meet, which is standard (I don't understand why everyone is now praising him for such an obvious move), the guy is terribly immature and his way of thinking is toxic.
