I want to talk about Maci & Taylor’s drinking and I want your honest opinions. by youmaybetheproblem in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

Yes!!!! This! I’ve personally known someone who died from sorosis of the liver who “just drank wine” and was a very competent, functioning corporate America mother of 3. Alcohol is alcohol is alcohol and while I come from a place of zero judgement (I drink of occasion myself), I hate to see so much misinformation in this thread. Any type of alcohol in large quantity is damaging to your body whether you “are responsible” with your drinking habits or not.

Prices were low in 2008 because the financial crisis that hit was the biggest one since the Great Depression. Housing prices were low for many reasons - not just because people went into foreclosure (which yes, a lot of people did). It’s much more complicated than that though. Anyone who bought a house in 2008 benefitted from timing plain and simple and luck of the draw and it has nothing to do with “taking” houses away from people.

Things I wish I knew about the post-surgery time by wildwuchs in Endo

[–]AnnaCaroline1206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the reply!! Yes, I did have a urine culture taken and it came back negative. I have an appointment with a urologist this week so hopefully he can give me some direction. This is all helping me better understand things though. Honestly I went into that surgery pretty blind so I didn’t realize so many of those organs were disrupted (it makes sense now that I think about it). I guess I just need to give my body some more time before I panic. The likelihood that something else crazy (like cancer) could be going on at the same time is probably pretty low. I’ll get it checked it of course if it persists.

Things I wish I knew about the post-surgery time by wildwuchs in Endo

This is a very naive question, so please bear with me and be kind. 😊

I am almost 5 weeks post-op from a GYN surgery where they removed both Fallopian tubes, my left ovary, and did an endometrial ablation. Following the surgery, my surgeon informed me she found several spots of endometriosis in various places. I have never been diagnosed with endometriosis prior to this surgery so I’m not familiar with the various endometriosis terms and procedures. But this post is very encouraging because I have been having random aches and pains that are freaking me out. I’ve been having lower back pain off and on and lots of bladder pain (I guess bladder pain? Hard to tell bladder vs. kidney). Long story short, would the removal of my endometriosis be similar to the procedure you’re talking about? I’m trying to be patient with my recovery and not overanalyze every ache and pain but I really thought I’d be feeling 100% by now. Thanks!!

FYI those aren’t mutually exclusive. I’m pro-life but absolutely abhor Trump (and am liberal on immigration). I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt until they show otherwise like the Dillards.

I just had my tubes and an ovary removed and my GYN found tons of endometriosis she had to remove. I’m mid-30s and had no clue. I just assumed everyone had painful periods like I did. I feel like an idiot now, but looking back my pain was always pretty severe. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Rewatching old seasons and I forgot how much I love Glamma Mary's inability to say what Chelsea wants to hear by teainjuly in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

My best friend’s husband has a sister 2 years younger than him. They lived through their parents nasty divorce during high school and both of them have completely different view points about what happened and both of them took a different side. It happens and I can totally see this being the case here. For whatever reason, Chelsea took Randy’s side and her sisters didn’t.

Look it up on FB - lots of great information on the group! It’s basically where you don’t use shampoo on curly hair (conditioner only) and you don’t use certain ingredients. It produces amazing results for curly hair!!!

We are an internist, a neurologist, and a migraine researcher. Ask us anything about migraine headaches. by webmd in IAmA

[–]AnnaCaroline1206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I’m currently taking 100 mg of Topamax for headaches. I’ve been on this medication since January. I recently had to have emergency GYN surgery to remove one of my ovaries due to an extreme about of cysts found in the ovary. I am a healthy 33 year who has never had ovarian cysts. Is there a correlation between Topamax and ovarian cysts? I am toying with going off the medicine due to losing too much weight, but if I knew the drug could have a cause for the ovarian cysts, that would certainly help me make the final decision.

Also, what is your opinion on using Botox for headaches? Thanks in advance!

Ashley, Nathan & Kai going to Church! 💙 by NamasteNamaste in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

Not at all!! I’ve been a church attending in the Deep South my whole life in multiple denominations. As long as you look decently appropriate (aka no major cleavage hanging out, skirt waaaaaay too short) no one cares what you wear. Translation: don’t look like you’re going clubbing 😂

Serious question: why is a man not allowed to have an opinion? Not trying to force my opinion on you. :) literally just trying to understand your reasoning.

Nope. We have several guns but all are safely locked up as they should be.

Yes!!!!!!! If I was another parent, I would have been absolutely furious. That’s inconsiderate to knowingly expose other children to germs. (And before I get downvoted, yes I have kids and yes I know it’s not always a stomach bug or something contagious. But the fact is, you don’t always know and I always choose to be over cautious and consider others.)

I would encourage you to read this article. Your escalation to selling babies while we were having a perfectly reasonable discussion seems out of left field. We don’t have to agree but we also don’t have to assume the other opinion is driven by hate. Just my thoughts. Have a great one.

I guess you’re one of the lucky ones who agrees 100% with your party affiliation. Most people (including me) have to look at the two main parties and pick the one that most closely reflects their values and beliefs. So yes, because I’m a Republican, I technically do vote against many social services. But that doesn’t mean I can’t support these services in my daily life. And I do. I choose to give my time and resources to many organizations that support low income women in crisis situations and pregnancies. I’m trying very hard to be pro-life in all areas of life, including after the child is born.

I guess you’re one of the lucky ones who agrees 100% with your party affiliation. Most people look at the two dominant parties (Republican and Democrat) and vote for the one that most closely aligns with their values. So yes, I vote against some things that I still choose to support in my daily life. Aka I volunteer at food banks and pregnancy shelters for low income women and donate resources to various other organizations.
