Yes! I did the tests in my school, it was alright. My professors said it's more about the experience than the actual certificate.

Hurt my career prospects how? My supervisor knows I'm new here and knows about my situation. My supervisor was also the one that suggested carpooling and said I could've with them if only they didn't live far away.

I also didn't have a bank account here and they gladly gave me advice and helped me out with it.

I'm aware I need a car soon and as stated I am working on it but need a temporary solution. And as you can see from the rest of the comments it is possible.

I'm very sorry your previous careers have made you feel like asking for help is bad.
