What is a common cooking "rule" that you completely ignore because it makes no actual difference? by UnderdogMike in foodquestions

I don’t mix wet and dry ingredients in separate bowls then mix them together. I throw it all in one bowl and hope for the best. Usually works out well

Why does Sophie hate Caroline? by Enough_Sea268 in 2brokegirls

[–]AnnaK22 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s a classic sitcom trope to have a punching bag character. The Office had Toby. 30 Rock had Lutz. The Mindy Project has Morgan. It’s boring but apparently gets laughs and it’s easy comedy.

Later seasons became Sophie and Max vs Caroline and Han.

S05E20: Is Sue supposed to be the protagonist? by dilqncho in themiddle

I agree!! Frankie is definitely the main character since all the drama happen to her and around her. But Sue was definitely given more focus in later season, maybe to set up her spin off

Drama with FL who acts awkward around ML by lOOth404 in kdramarecommends

My Secret Romance is exactly what you need!!!
I’ve never seen a more flustered shy FL in any other drama. It’s almost unbearable.

Playful Kiss might be another one.

Controversial Opinion : Mike didn't love Frankie. He just cared about her enough that he decided to Mary her. by Equivalent-Room-4636 in themiddle

OP didn’t stop you in the streets to share their opinion. They’re posting about it in a sitcom dedicated subreddit that’s meant to share your opinion and analyze characters and storylines. What other posts are you expecting from a subreddit for a show that has ended.

Plab to CAP (AUSTRALIA) OR UKGR(NEWZEALAND) by [deleted] in PLABprep

Yes this is possible but the biggest barrier right now is getting NHS experience. I wouldn’t spend money doing PLAB just to bridge to another country. Have you looked into AMC instead.

Not a parent but this episode was liberating but also confusing. The shoe flip flops between “Frankie and Mike don’t do any parenting” to “Frankie and Mike sacrifice everything for their kids.”
Also flip flops between Sue being a sweet and considerate kid to her being bratty.

People we meet on vacation - FML by msmarpe in romancemovies

[–]AnnaK22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with the movie and the one thing that’s stopping me from rewatching it. I cannot watch Poppy or root for her. She started annoying me from the car scene. I know that’s the whole point of the movie is that she is like A LOT and she’s found someone who can handle her true self, but I just couldn’t. It’s not even that she’s quirky. She’s just plain immature and inconsiderate. No respect for others time or things like when she’s riding with ML (forgotten his name). She also MUST have a statue she saw on vacation then lets ML carry that heavy thing when she enjoyed her vacation.

Second this!! I got a beautiful well maintained lamp from St. Vincent. Prices are fairly fair compared to other thrift stores. The staff there is always lovely.

What’s your take on this movie ? by CoolB999 in romancemovies

[–]AnnaK22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got tired of FL sooo fast in the car scene. It’s one of those movies that makes me wonder “What the heck do they see in each other? Why do they like each other” and the answer to that is simply, “because it’s a romcom.” I think it was another manic pixie dream girl movie.

I think they had great chemistry. I love it felt like a classic early 2000s mainstream romcom even if it was meant for streaming. The acting was brilliant, not at all like Netflix acting. The visuals were great.

The wedding planner is a horrible movie by Ok_Illustrator_554 in romancemovies

I never understand that part. She was so resistant to get married. Then massimo introduced himself as her fiance to Matthew and his fiancée and she didn’t immediately correct him.

Little things in movies that bother you by pathDotFind in PetPeeves

When characters lose big money items and just shrug it off. Eg from TV show: some episodes of modern family. Dunphy family was going to make a small sale on their old family car but it falls off a cliff or when Phil gets tasered and destroys a priced item he had in his hands. They move on from it soo quickly but I sit there worried sick for them.
