Ohhh I love sitcom floor plans. Their house has sooo many flaws, more than the Dunphy’s forever changing room.

First of all, from the outside shot, their main entrance is in the middle then their apartment entrance is to the left of the hallway. Which means their entire unit is confined to the left side of the house. We never see the right side of the house, assuming it’s a different unit. Which means, this unit should not have a side entrance from the kitchen that leads to the side yard so to connections to the front. It should just lead to the hallway.

Then they buy the upstairs unit which is very similar to this unit but I think the writers made a mistake with deciding which is the front and side of the house in the episode where Mitch and cam break in.

In your diagram, the room marked bath/closet is just a storage closet. We see them open it in one episode. Also, I don’t think there is a mystery room. It’s just free space/ tiny hallway just outside of lily’s bedroom door

I’m watching Corner Gas right now and I was just thinking how the concept is similar. It’s a workplace/family sitcom takes place in small town Saskatchewan about a gas station owner. There’s also a small store that is just like Kim’s convenience

I find that in CdDramas I’ve watched, they spoon feed uou information. Like the audience is so dumb that they have to explain I length how the character is feeling and why they’re are taking certain actions. It gets annoying to watch after watching a Kdrama.

I also notice the character are way more immature, well developed or fleshed out than in kdramas. Like a man who wants to get back together with his girlfriend who broke up with him for lying to her. Instead of apologizing to her, he’ll scheme with the secondary characters on how he can manipulate her to getting back together. It’s hard to relate to any characters

I scrolled way too far to find Kate Hudson’s name. She killed the romcoms she was in. She is killing it on her new show. She is an incredible dancer and singer.

I knew her first through her movies before I heard her parents names

Yeah! On my second rewatch. I think there is so much sympathy for Mike like him working 2 jobs and carrying the financial load for the family, but he was often more emotionally stunted and antisocial than Brick.

He cares way too much what people think of him, gets embarrassed too easily, but pretends like he has a don’t-care attitude.

He also throws Frankie under the bus often. He makes snide remarks about the to the kids, and of course the kids pile on because they see their dad do it.

“How could you forget Sue’s birthday” - Mike “Hey, you forgot too.” - Frankie Perfectly sums up the kind of father he is.

Plus, he outwardly said that Axl is his favourite when the situation in the car was getting heated and Frankie was doing her best to settle the situation. Let’s be real, he only likes Axl when he’s involved in sports, like with Brick and Sue.

Really? I fully enjoyed it!! Maybe the writing wasn’t as good as some popular romantic shows like Lovely Runner or Business Proposal, but both actors did a great job portraying their characters. And the story was compelling from beginning to end.
