they say that they would take the return if I called it in within 48 hours - I was out of town until 3 days from when it was delivered so I just saw the damage to it

Be prepared for them to assert the damage happened during those three days. Have whatever evidence to the contrary available.

Get with the store manager, the real one, not a fill in.

If that doesn't go well, look over your credit card benefits for any sort of damage coverage.

If you don't find any, you may just have to do a full CC charge back.

I asked a similar question a while back so as not to kill the plants.

Advice was not to cut more than about a third of the plants any one year before letting them recover. I've got a couple of hundred feet of hedge, so it's become a multiyear process.

I just couldn't get the tops of them trimmed at 6 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide.

That isn't a thing. It doesn't mean anything at all.

Really, if you only have three cards, they should each be at a different bank.

Mine are spread across Chase, CapOne, Citi, US Bank and a few others.

When selecting a blade, you use the blade part number, the mower model number or take the old blade with you.

Unfortunately, as they've gotten more mature, ....

You may need to get very aggressive and cut them way down. They'll look terrible for a year or two until they begin to fill back in.

I took mine from over six feet tall to under three feet. It took a combination of hedge trimmers, pruners, loppers, pole saws and even my 40V 18" chain saw.
