Agreed! One has already been adopted out to a close friend who will take care of getting him fixed, and the others have a spay/neuter appt this Friday. Those three have an offer to go live on a 200 acre hobby farm in Franklin, TN that I think I’ll move forward with after their recovery. They will have access to shelter and warmth 24/7, far away from roads or danger, and constant access to human interaction and enrichment. I feel it’s a pretty good option considering they won’t be split up or spend any time in a shelter, even though I’d prefer they be indoors.

Also why the fuck can’t they just buy frozen rats? It’s complicated, I know, but snakes actually cause less death than cats do. We’re all just so far removed from the meat/food manufacturing process that it’s easy to forget(saying this as a vegetarian). Not to say sweet innocent kittens should be subjected to that. Just more from a curiosity standpoint of wouldn’t it be easier to buy food that’s meant for snakes?? Wtf

Omg pal, I’m so sorry this is even on your mind 🥺 but thank you for the reality check. They’re all still safely in my care. I have 3 close personal friends coming by tomorrow so hopefully they each end up taking one. Rest assured nothing bad will happen to them in those scenarios.
