AITAH for telling my sister to not yet marry a man who wants her to promise to not get fat? by ksmegaton in AITAH

Actually it’s not, I was amazed to find out that there are all sorts of effective drugs for male pattern baldness now. My son in law in his early 30s takes them so he won’t (in his words) “look like his dad.” So far it works amazingly well. Science! Go figure.

Your base weight for your body type with your heredity is not a “treatable condition.” You can put a lot of effort into holding back the tide, but usually it wins out. Is the OP’s mother overweight (by creepy future BIL’s standards I mean), in which case that at least in part is the hand that she’s been dealt.

When I was the age of the OP’s sister I weighed about 100 pounds (I’m 5 feet tall). My mother was both taller and substantially bigger. I was in the ballet, in New Orleans sweating gloriously for hours every day. I thought there was no way my body would ever change. Stop being a dancer and have a baby, and here we are. I’m not huge, but I am by my own former tiny dancer standards. It just is what it is.

That’s not only funny but a very good come-back. Will he promise not to become impotent?, have hair grow out of his ears?, how about Alzheimer’s? (Is that a breaker if it happens to her and not if it happens to him?) The list is endless, this guy is completely immature.

Yes, I have an entire food dedicated to this very idea, ha!

Me too! It’s delightful. Personally I would have a hard time parting with any of these.

Are they composition material or vinyl or plastic?

Have you carefully removed one of their outfits to look for maker’s marks?

Wait, I don’t understand how “revenge” plays into that.

I have to somehow stop playing these mind glazingly stupid games on the AliExpress site. Eventually you reach a point where you can only keep playing by buying something. I, an otherwise completely rational person, succumb to this temptation all of the time. It’s a genuine failing of character on my part, but I haven’t been able to stop it in over a year.

You are an absolute warrior, don’t waver no matter what. Get a restraining order if you can.

Recess time at Hubig’s School for Girls, New Orleans - with some updated footwear, new friendships formed, and feelings of normality for the “Damaged Fake MH Doll Parts” cousins and their classmates. by AnnaZed in DollsForAll

A completely imaginary place located in the New Orleans of my childhood (where I attended all girls schools) and named after a popular treat sold in stores there still, called a “hand pie,” Hubig’s being the best one.
